The book 'Gold Beach' by Christopher Dunphie has the following figures:
Sword: 28,845 landed, 630 killed or wounded
Gold: 25,000 landed, 413 killed or wounded
Juno: 21,400 landed, 304 killed, 574 wounded
Omaha: 34,000 landed, over 2000 killed or wounded
Utah: 23,250 landed, no k or w figures supplied - just 'light casualties'
I hope Normandy maps like this have some real thick bocage hedgerows and sunken lanes in the inland zones...

If my memory serves me well, the situation at Utah were that the landing troops made the landing some kilometers off the intended zone and thus flanked the German fortifications and made it out with just 'light casualities'. Luck comes in many forms...
Great, finally another western Europe beach map besides Omaha and *coughs* Norway.
Also, if ANYONE has ever beaten Norway as Axis, I'd love to know.
Yes I have seen it done many times, actualy I think it's hard to play allied, having 20 Machine guns at you when you land. But once a flag is taken teh germans are have a 25% chance of winning.
