Ok, i must cofess that this model is shit :( I don't even know why it's here in road to 0.6 . BUT! You ust know that it was my first tank model, so that's the reason why it looks so bad :/ I can make a new model anytime and i'll do it. This Panther was only posted, because it finally got a skin ( which is very good imho). And thanks for comments - i'm with you i also don't like this modell ;)

And to Senses Fail, well as you can seee i can model - the cromwell is made by me and it doesn't look bad, does it? Thank to this panther you can see that i'm still improving,:)

Well omni, im glad to hear that you are going to improve it. You are not bad, not at all, i could never have done anything like that tank myself. A little more detail e.t.c and it will come out with flying colours ;)

yes, your cromwell is very good omni, I can't wait to see it ingame and crush some pnzr4s with it.

Question, Why don't you just take Minder's panther G and tweak it into a D? It would save alot of time (all that really needs to be changed is a few hatches/guns and turret shape) and add alot to consistancy.

Well, that's a good idea, and probably we'll do it that way, but then we will lose Bazaa's skin (which i really like) And i also want to show you that i can model ;)

It would look much better, if you had consistant panther models, as oposed to (essentailly) the same tank modeled by compleatly different people. I'm personnally not a big fan of the skin, but im sure with something a little more high poly, he could pull off some nice stuff.

Re: German Panther D

Yes, it doesn't make any sense to model different versions, by different people.

You risk to get the same panther base with different armour shape, diferent turret size, etc. It's not worth it.
Same goes to a possible Jagdpanther model.

Same goes for Bismark - it must be done from the Tirpitz base.
You have a lot of models done with the DICE sherman and Panzer 4, and that's good. Saves time, work, and adds consistancy. Same goes for all models based on the T-34 hull.

You have to save time and work, or 0.6 will never come out. Besides, by doing twice two or more identical models, that's just a waste of talented modelers and skinners who could be working on something else.

Besides, by using most of the same mesh and colour scheme, it saves time to the skinners too, cause they just have to do minor modifications to skin layers and patterns.

That reminds me i have gotten on the team for not using the M 7 preist tracks and hull on the M3 Lee/Grant

Re: German Panther D

What i mean is:

During the war, there were many versions of AFV's, based on a specific hull of an AFV: Panzer IV, Sherman, T-34, Panther, etc.

It would help FH to be believable, if you would use the same hull dimensions for every single AFV based versions.

For example: the StugIII must have the same size and basic hull shape as the Panzer III, since it was based on it.

Don't make the same basic mistakes any other mod does. FH is different.

Please, omni, if there is another better model of a panther G, modify that one, keeping the same hull basic measures and save time and work.

There MANY allied forces tanks that are SIMPLY NOT THERE.

MANY people on servers accuse FH mod of being german-biased.
I don't believe in this, but since you have so few allied tanks, people just assume that.

I don't care about it, but PLEASE, instead of wasting time and work doing something from scratch, do a version of something that is already well done!!!! It doesn't make any sense to waste time and resources!!!

Instead of modelling -from scratch- just another slighty different version of a german tank that is already done, do some allied armour, for a change!...
