Those of us in Canada have to jump through a shitload of hoops to get firearms. I've got so many unregistered weapons it's not funny.

Going to get my PAL Certificate so that I can legaly register them and buy ammo again.

While I don't agree with America's right to own .50 Cal Sniper Rifles, I do envy the simplicity of owning a firearm in your country. In Canada if you own a pistol you have to call the police and get a certificate just to take it to the shooting range.

My Current Arsenal:

.22 Single shot rifle
.410 Break Shotgun
30-30 Lever Action rifle
K-98 Bolt action rifle
12 guage Pump shotgun

It's just that any weapon that can kill someone on the other side of an engine block shouldn't be in civilian hands.

With my K-98 I could shoot a cop and it would go through his bulletproo vest.
With a .50 cal sniper rifle I could shoot a cop and it would go through his vest and 5 of his friends vests as well.

IMO anything that can go right through a Brinks truck shouldn't be readily avaliable on the open market.

here in Sweden we have strict laws concerning handguns and it feels great. I love guns but why the hell would I want an arsenal in my home? No racoons in my apartment anyway.

There's no reason to ban them, just like the Assault Weapons Ban, to save the children! Even if it means well (which the AWB doesn't), it just makes it harder for citizens to employ their GOD GIVEN INALIENABLE RIGHTS.

Shotguns are measured in Guage and are not capable of penetrating entire decade's worth of national geographics (maps included).

I just find that a .50 BMG serves no purpose but to attack targets that a criminal or terrorists would want to. They are virtually useless as hunting rifles since they destroy the meat within a 12" radius.

If you can give me a useful civilian use for a .50 BMG besides killing a Grizzly bear or George Bush then I'd be happy to change my mind.

I have to disagree with that i saw a guy who owns a AA gattling gun , and lives in Arizona owns a huge ass amount of land and is a millionaire with his own airfield and attack helicopters. They tie glow sticks to kites and let them go at night and a bunch of his friends shoot at it with there m60's and SAW's because if we ban them they just gunna bring them in some how, when you could be putting a Tax on the gun so your Gov could make a profit like on Short Barreld rifles now in the US....
