Your problem is that you're aiming at the plane. You have to aim in front of the plane and either bring the crosshairs towards front of the plane as you're shooting, or let them fly through your bullets. I can take a plane down with like a 10-15 shot burst everytime like this, even when they're super far away and you can barely see it.

Er... at the risk of repeating the... er.. repeated, Beef I find that I can blaze away into a plane, and get the little bits falling off, but no smoke. Whole magazines, nothing.

Puzzled, I changed aimpoints to WAY off the plane in front, and using the 109 in El Alamein managed to get a good number of kills with very little ammo. With the 190, barely touch the trigger and down she goes.

suprised to say the least.

IMO I suggest you aim a good 1/3 of the target plane length in front of it, and give it a one second burst.

You should not be aiming at the plane at all, even if you are relatively in line behind. Feels VERY wrong, but the results will speak....

Always, always expect lag to fool you into shooting too far behind. Adjust by aiming a healthy percentage in front.
