well like I said its still not done, but...
I belive 2 of 47 sherman tanks made it PAST the beach, so shurly some got wreaked on the beach, that beach was prety much symmetrical, they had there defences repeted the same all along the beach, I thought you wanted real? (and I didn't want to make the level of the water along the shore vary TOO much, otherwise everyone would just land on the short end for a quick run). The treches look like karelias yes, butl thats how they really looked, I guess you could say karelias look like those ones (I was already making those when karelia was released, I did get a single ideas for my trenches from karilla and that was how to do the side parts, those took me quite a long time). The total map area will be smaller once its 100% done, making the out of bounds look smaller, the maps smaller, yes, but dice has a lot of useless space, basicly all of the map will have fighting on it, and since most buildings are intact and enterable it makes it seem a lot bigger, not to mention its got very few vehicles, those passes arn't a slaughter at all, its very easy to aviod the MG42 and allis spawn right there (I've played it with people, its quite easy for allies to pass), detail.dds may change later, I thought the battlecraft one looked fine, and the 2 beach points are only cappable by allies, putting them out of the game as soon as the allies get up the cliffs (it origonaly had less points up top, but it seemed far to little once the 2 beach points were eliminated from the game, with the front line style fighting of the city and theres still a chance I may change it).
I guess you should play it before you comment on its playability...

I'm definitly not trying to insult you reinhold, just explaining, since I don't think you've played the map (just looked at it)... your one of the few who actualy say somethgin other then "nice map" (witch people say reguardless of how good the map is) .

There are enough Yankee-maps out there and they just start to get boring. So say NO to Omaha! Mannerheim Line would be exotic "only from us!"-type of map and, if done properly, the potential of great fights is just... can't imagine a word great enough to describe it.

The historical background of Mannerheim and his Line is just so damn interesting AND IMPORTANT that it's about time that someone would respect the vets of the Northern Front that without communists would've swept through whole Scandinavia and God knows where else.

So vote for Mannerheim Line, vote for Respect!

(but if you're not going to make it on the historical detail and the proper respect for Finns and their part in WW2, just forget it!)

Kryptonife, I like a lot your beach trenches but not the rest of the map. It would be great if you collaborate with the Flatline guys to make the Omaha beach map, I want to model the tall bunkers. We can help them with the static models.

Lobo, would those tall bunkers have rooms in them like those in MOHAA? If so that would be very cool

Sorry to get mad... but NORTH AFRICA???? WTF

Thats a whole 6 or 7 different fricken countries...

If you had stated a specific battle maybe I'd consider voting for it. PS: The Aussies did most of the Eytie whipping in Africa... and for those who hate the french.. a small force of Free french held off rommel's 8th repeatedly, refusing to give in because they were ashamed of what france had done... they eventually won.
