Are you guys actually not reading my Signature? Read it very slowly! Historical Advisor! If it didn't happen in WW2, it won't happen on our maps! If T-34's weren't present at sectors of defense in the Mannerheim Line, they won't be in our maps!

Regardless, we're getting a very nice start on Caen as we speak. Expect to be amazed fellas..:)

So what's the deal with your other maps? There were sure as hell no americans in Telemark and the Germans didn't make it to the Urals. :confused:

I didn't work on either of those maps, as they were meant to be for Vanilla BF1942. Thus, this means they will not be historically accurate. I know the Americans wern't in Norway, and I know Army Group Center never pressed through Moscow and to the Ural Mountains.

Caen will be different. Try to understand this. I researched it myself, and you will not be disappointed.

Mannerheim has a 34-19 lead over Omaha right as I post...It looks as if the Finns will be battling the Soviets foe a second time.

as soon as the mod is out you'll all complain about how theres too much soviets vs germans and this map was just a big waste of talents MARK MY WORDS :deal:

We don't plan on starting this map until Finnish weapons and vehicles are in game. If those won't be done for a long time, the map with the second most votes will be created.

Don't be mistaken though, Mannerheim Line WILL be created if it wins the poll. It will just take longer.

Wiking, trust on me. It's not the moment for the Manerheim map now.
Omaha is a must, the DICE version is not good, if we get a Omaha map so good as the Mohaa one that will be the best advertisement for the mod, everybody would want to play FH only for that map

First time poster and long time lurker here. I have to agree with Lobo. A good omaha will actually give the game some american servers unlike bg42. The time for advertising has come. There will be plenty of time to do other maps.

I decided to choose Omaha since there aren’t very many US vs. Germany maps in FH.

Dammit Lobo, you keep pulling my damn arm to do this!!!

OK. Omaha will be done after Caen! Mannerheim Line will follow with accurate Finnish weapons and vehicles! :D

Don't worry man. Once all Finnish vehicles and weapons are complete, it will be number 1 on our priority list. That's a promise too.

Flatline44 won't produce any "boring" Omaha map either :D

Well, actually, weren't it Canadians who were fighting in Bocage? Don't rape me if I'm wrong, I just think I read something like that somewhere a while ago... :P

And Poles would be quite interesting.. not so much popularity for them either, just that "Germans came and kicked their asses with Russians". Something special, a little detail from somewhere, would be a nice idea for a Polish map.. Like weren't there some Polish paratroopers involved in Operation Market Garden? A map telling their tale? Of course a map of Polish cavalry charging against German panzers wouldn't be quite everyday sight either but.. I'd like to see something else, wouldn't mind if a game could teach me something new. ;)

The Poles were involved in many of the major operations in Europe in ww2. Many of the allied pilots in the battle of britain were Polish (there was a problem with downed polish pilots being mistaken as germans by the home guard), the polish troops were the ones who eventually took Monte Cassino. And yeah, the polish were part of the Market Garden operation - they were meant to drop into Arnhem I think, can't recall the whole story. Will dig out some URLs of other operations they took part in - those 3 are the ones that spring to mind ...
