Re: Vote on Flatline 44 Maps Now! look at the *current* (.4C) "Omaha dedication" in the FH beta, redone incredibly realistic with dead on accuracy down to placement of homes, its not quite done (dont think any FH map is) beach has been tested probably 20-30 times over for that "real" feel (tho only so much that can be done taking into account player behavior and BF, check it out if you havn't already, prety much every obsticle, shell hole and bump is there for a reason... edit: in summery I think fl44 making a omaha map would be a wasted effort, making a omaha map that meets the standards of everyone witch is designed for multiplayer only is impossable (for those who are not mappers, trying to make players follow a play stile like omaha is very hard without doing thinkgs like taking away classes ie. sniper witch ruins the battlefield feel imo), and since the current omaha isn't a final map I really don't think the fl44 map would be any better then it... |
no offense your map is kinda meh. its upside down, its actually smaller than dice's map, its too symmetrical, the trenches on the beach are basically karelia's, youre using the battlecraft detail.dds, too many control points and its really unnecessary that the axis have a non cappable point with all the points they control already, too much out of bounds (use setactivecombat area), the passes are going to be a slaughter to the allies with no chance of ever making it up. also theres a sherman tank wreck on the beach, which i thought none landed? |
