Hey all ive looked for the subject before posting and have not found any threads so here goes,

I have just loadedn EoD 20% Vid and I think they are getting help from Ea I also think they have been given the SDK

and what makes you think that?

man, then your gonna shyte your pants when you get to play Forgotten Hope.

That video wasn't very impressive, it showed nothing new except for one map which they flashed for like 10 seconds.

Why would they help EoD if they are making Battlefiled:Vietnam Geoff you have lost all your credibilty. O wait you never had any to begin with.

EA would never give EoD an SDK....

They want their Vietnam mod to be even more successful. Of course EA's version will be better because they are making the engine a tad better and they pretty much have control over everything. I'm not quite sure what will happen to EoD when BF:Vietnam comes out...

I think EoD is a wonderful mod but I still wonder what will come of them when Vietnam is released...

yea, but it was fun while it lasted. and Vietnam is coming out in half a year. so they have time. though then HL2 comes out I dont see how any other game in the world could survive, not even Forgotten Hope.

Yea, HL2 is gonna kick the ass of all otehr mods.... maps seem to be as big OR BIGGER then battlefield's maps, so much more detailed... and drivable vehicles :-p

it has evreything battlefield has, and then some...


IM sorry to say, i wont be playing battlefield past september :-p i need to make space for all the HL2 mods that come out... i hope FH ports over to HL2 ^_^

slim chance, but dod days!!! I need to get a job so I can upgrad my computer so that I can play HL2 on high detail.

DoD is not challanging any more to me all i do is melee now.

meh... dod is so full of idiots now :-p

any given person will fall into the "duck around a corner, drop a nade at your feat and run, blowing them up as they chase you" trick...

I think BF might still go strong after HL2 is released.

We can say BF is dead when I see HL2 with planes, aircraft carriers, tanks with gunners etc etc. with 60 people in a server.

I never liked the first Halflife or mods... what will make this any different?

If I want to run HL2 awesomely I need new processor mobo and vid card. which means a new powersupply and cpu fan. better get savin.

Half-life2 is impressive but until i see exactly how the vehicle physics work in that game, i can't really say if it will be similar to BF42's gameplay aspects. However BF:Vietnam is as of now, probably the dumbest thing ive heared according to features, IE odds are you can listen to Rock music (hendrix and other era artist) while flying a helicopter and the fact that Dice wants to go with Movie realism so instead of recording real gun sounds they just get movie gun sounds and explosions. So when did Battlefield turn into GTA? Whats next? Putting prostitutes in Siagon or the option to give out gum to children?

i was thinking about buying that is it worth the money

The maps in HL2 are 1 square miles max, which makes them 64 times bigger than the original half-life maps. And I'll buy a new PC too when HL2 is released.

the last great war

I forgot, 'the last great war' is a WW2 mod for half-life 2 in the make. They have some very nice models there, here is a picture of their MG42, which I love most:

From browsing their forums, im kind of disapointed. People were suggesting things all of us would like to have with an SDK, but the team was just shooting down every good idea and pretty much making it a DoD clone.

but valve has announced the DoD team is already working with the source engine and has full acces to the SDK :)

I think too much people is going to the Bf42 funeral so early because HL2, it's better to wait and see how is really that game. If it hasn't the aerial, naval and ground vehicular combat possibilities of Bf42 for sure a lot of us will remain sticky to Bf.

sweet ill have to get HL2 just for the WW2 mods!
