No, the tanks can access the big streets without problems but the small alleys are limited to infantry only. So there are plenty of places to hide and routes to avoid tanks, but if you decide to run around in the main streets, you deserve to get royally screwed over by a panzer. Unless of course you are mining the junctions...

Why would the tankers want to keep outside the city if all the action, the prey, is inside it? Highly unlikely.

Not when i place mines together with my usual sqaud witch means atleast around 9-12 mines placed at good locations witch will proberly be located quite easily;-) seeing that tanks have to follow the mainroads etc, and im also geussing that there will be som AT guns for the brits of som kind so defending the city against tanks, is quit posible.

Its just like the map Mersa Mathruth instead off people whining about the balance when they get pawned bye the german tanks over and over people shut learn that mines is the key to that map, as fast as posible from the start off the map, and not the redicules brittish tanks, the only tanks that shut even be moved is the Valentine/matilda cant recall witch one it is and perhabs the Grant, the others are just there for people to driver over frindly mines and be easy targets for german tanks.
This tactic actully works quite well and the german tankers figure it out quite fast aswell;-) and stays out off the streets/area were the good defenses are up you can see it almost evry evening on the puplic server;-)

And i have a feeling this shut be posible aswell on the neew tobruk map.

It happened to FH1 and it will happen to FH2. BF2 came out in 2005, modern PC's will be able to handle FH2 no matter what.

I'm sure you would rather upgrade then have this mod hold back, right? The price of parts continues to fall while the parts get better. In September this year I bought a 4870X2(with 2gb gddr5 mem and direct x10.1 and of course being two 4870's - ATI's flag ship card at the moment) cheaper then i got my 6800gt in 2005. (And the 6800 wasn't even nvidia's top card.)

I didn't know you could update that message box we see in the menu without new version of the mod! I was quite surprised when I saw that today. That would be a nice way to remind people about possible future mappacks when or if they are made available.

Tunis in other hand is THE counter strike map of FH2. It's just good mapping.
Indeed thats what made me think Tobruk might be based on the real layout of the city but in a scaled down fashion of course. And yeah Tunis does look like awesome infantry only map. Thanks for shedding some light for me for those maps.
