| How would the bottom of a tank hit a mine? Maybe the tracks? ;-P

| Well, the power of the explosion will surely not only hit the tracks but the bottom, too. So Sir Apple is quite right with his argument.

| But say there were 5 people about 5 meters infront of you that wanted to kill you. How fast would you be able to pull the trigger on them? |

| 5 on 1? Well realistically speaking you may not kill all of them, in real life. The Garand doesn't have some extreme recoil. It has less recoil then a K98. You have to shoot one, or any weapon to really understand. Firearms are not hard to aim. And 3.06, 8mm, 5.56... and ect, those are not hard to control when shooting a shot off 1-1/2 to 2 seconds apart. If your a trained soldier, trained with your weapon, you will be able to do this...easily. If an AT mine hits your tanks tracks, its going to destroy more then the tracks. Keep in mind the track mechanism is made up of many moving parts. Easily being blown apart when hit with a mine. Seriously, your most likely going to die.

| Well, exploding under the tank without it running directly on a mine with its tracks is quite realistic. It's the pressure that activates the mine not direct contact so logically the heavier the tank is the more likely a mine will explode. It depends how deep and what kind of soil it's dug in.

| AT mines will not kill the people in the tank. Period. The tracks would absorb the blast, kinda like a guy jumping on a grenade. The crew won't be harmed more then being shaken up like crazy, and there are dozens of first hand accounts of the crews fighting on from a tank that had hit a mine, especially if there was no way for them to bail out. AT mines are meant to stop the tank and keep it from advancing/make it a sitting duck.

| The M1 Garand has now been shown, and this can only mean one thing...I start to go OCD on your ass. If that M1 Garand...is not perfect, somebody is going to get drawn and quartered, period.
