Yes they also used gliders, but the problem with gliders is that they can only land and not take off again. That would be somewhat of a problem if you were trying to rescue someone. So, they also send a helicopter, but it broke down while flying there. Sending the Storch was the backup option.

The new Fieseler Storch looks beautifully stunning and very sexy, I have to say I'm becoming very fond of this little bird by the minute and it's all thanks to the guys at FH2

I would suggest a long reload time, and it only carries one round at a time, so it requires an ammo truck nearby to reload. (A truck not a kit if this is possible.)
