These new outer 20mm cannons should be the same type as the inner ones, Mg151/20. Radio hatch and medic box stay. This plane can not be on any North african maps. Make underwing changes as seen here:


Making it an A-6 or later would be odd considering that desert skin. Of course you could use a desert skin italy, but that would be odd in most parts of the country.

Or then again, make in an A-6 or later and have it ready for normandy with a nice new skin...you could keep the MG bulge if you go A-7 or later...

It's an Fw 190A-8, the construction number on the tail matches up to an 'A-8, a simple google search "fw 190 171189" reveals that it was flown Major Karl Kennel, Gruppenkommandeur of II./Schlachtgeschwader 2. IMO the only inaccuracy with the model is that the barrels of the outer MG151/20's are too short. Also the skin is that of an Eastern Front machine, SG 2 served exclusively on the Eastern Front from early '44 'til the end of hostilities.

Wouldnt that make scout class a bit over-powered (cause its semi-auto which means it has faster rate of fire than bolt-action, plus it also has bigger clip size which means it has an advantage in a fire-fight)

Lovely update. Glad to see some very talented people joining the FH2 cause. I love the FW but i am not as much a grog as some here. It seems to me if FH2 is only going to have one FW-190 model, then this is a very good one.

Perhaps, but aren't scouts meant to be lighter and faster?

A scout has the disadvantage of not carrying grenades (and until you can throw active s-mines) doesn't have that explosive power like a rifleman has.

A scout is meant to dash up past the front lines, and engage the enemy, probing for points for the infantry and armour to push through. That means they will be out in front, with backup some distance away - so the faster rate of fire and bigger clip are necessities of the role.

I think with more urban maps (and limited scout class), you'll probably see that evolving - the scout is made to run around the corner and see what's there, whilst the infantry stay back in good positions.

I can't imagine giving the German Scout class in Normandy the G43 would cause problems, besides the Americans get a semi-auto rifle as their standard issue rifle.

sure, but the devs don´t ask "is it balanced?" but "was it used in sufficient numbers to be spawnable in our mod?" and I honestly don´t think that´s the case for normandy.
