To be honest I was exceptic when DarkPepe told he was remaking Crete FH1, because I never liked that map, but hopefully this version will work better than the original.

It has great villages to fight for and the mountain roads are well designed, so it's not a straight copy, yeah, its layout is very similar because the FH1 map had good research but it's diferent.

It has also a better german airfield, to get a more fluid transport planes work, something very important for the axis success, good Ju52 pilots are a must because the bofors are dangerous. The best strategy is to do a S flight over the sea, get height and parachute over areas without bofors cover.

And remember: ONLY riflemen and NCO's has parachutes

Thanks for the detailed reply, you too, Flippy. For the record I never liked Crete in FH1 THAT much either... it always felt a bit spread out and unexciting. But if you what you say is true I'm much more excited about this one.

And I really recommend putting that last message in the map description

Wow, amazing update, truly amazing. Crete, tractor of doom, bike (of death?) Can't wait to try this out. Also look forward to comparing it to FH.7. And best of all, I get the strong impression I will be playing it within a month...

With transports, I guess the best thing is for the pilot to be an SL. Get high enough to avoid flak, and rain down squad mates.

The Bike is actualy not a joke.. it's there, and it's there to be used.. as a weapon or as a means of transportation.. I love it!

What I love more is that map! It looks nothing short of awsome. It's fun, it has those battles FH1 was so full of.. The ones you didn't have to walk for ages, but you didn't always just spawn right into the action.. Pepe.. Outstanding job on it!!

I love the 0.7 Crete too, this one looks even sexier! Tractors, bycicles, Ju 52's, fallschirmjägers? can it get any better?
