We dont hate you. We just hate BitComet.

Seriosly though, there is a problem with bitcomet and certain trackers. AFAIK its fixed in the next version.

can someone please give me some tips on how to maximize my download speed? I'm using utorrent, and have only used it once before to get BGF. I know you can right click on the file and select "bandwidth allocation" but i don't know what to select for upload speed.

Will my upload speed affect my download speed? I have 256kb DSL internet, please someone give some basic setup info to boost speed. Right now i'm downloading at around 100 kb/sec, but it should be able to go quite a bit higher.

Download speed is varying from 2.1MB/sec to 190 kb/sec. I will leave it to seed till release date at 100kb/s.

Get a fat internet pipe No seriously I have my ports open and I use utorrent. I get much better DL rates with Utorrent than I ever did with Azureus, I am not sure why, perhaps the way its coded. I have an average internet connection of 20MB down and 768kbsec up so getting as low as 190kb/sec is not really that fast. Any lower than 1mb/sec off a FTP and I normally cancel the download!

Make sure your upload speed is not set to high as this can drown your DL speed, set it to roughly 50% of your max Ul speed while you are DL then 100% while you seed.

I got about 250-300kbs and Utorrent is usually a lot slower then that.

Aren't some people lucky; you must live in heavily built up area of Southhampton then. I live in the sticks in north Hampshire, internet is still produced through steam turbines here (450kb/s download max).

Yay more Southerners! I live in Totton mate, which is about 5 miles west of Southampton. ISP is now Virgin Media, have been getting a steady upgrades since we were with Cable and wireless, 300kb>600kb>750kb<1mb>2mb>10mb>20mb>50mb

I thought most parts of Hampshire we cable enabled? Where abouts you live too? Only problems with Hampshire connection wise for me is the crappy HSPDA support in Lymington!!
