I can run the Beta of Crysis with Medium Settings, but it looks like shit and lags like hell. BF2 looks miles better than Crysis and runs smooth as nothing while playing everything on max.

AMD 5200+
Good Asus Mobo (forgot the name)
2GB DDR3 RAM
X1950 Pro

I have almost the exact same setup as you. Only difference is you have a better processor. I've got:
AMD 4800+
same
same
X1950XTX 512mb

It was a relatively cheap setup, and it runs all games i have very smoothly. I'm hoping it can handle FH2 with everything maxed out, it can on PR at least.

yes you will be able to run it on high settings.its bf friken 2 its not a different game engine.wtf does every 1 keep asking that question for?its no different than bf2 if you can run 1 mod on high then why would you even think for 1 second that you couldnt run a diff mod on all settings maxed out?its common friken sence ppl.

p.s. youve got a better card than i so what r u worried about?i runn it all maxed out bro with x1650 pro 512 mb.

Are you kidding me? It's the same engine, yes, but all the extra features they add on and the extreme detail DOES require higher demands than VBF2.

I was able to play vanilla bf1942 flawlessly on my older computer, ran perfectly, no lag ever, maps loaded in 40 seconds. Once i got FH1, took upwards of 3 minutes to load a map, up to 5 minutes when i was playing on the super detailed FHT tournament maps. Lag up the wahzoo, and poor performance.

So to say "if you can play one maxed out you can play them all" is a complete overstatement and is not true at all.

As october is closing I'm getting really jumpy, though I may have to wait till december. I know you guys have hands full of fixing and adjusting to do, but it would really help the pain if you could just throw some bones about what are you doing right now. I don't mean any blog type documentation, but some small bits and things that you've come across testing the mod.
