I am certainly not upset to hear that the mod is far along that there will be nothing new to update. It sounds like we will probably get screenies of the remaining maps as they develop so really its all good.

I think this update is a great one. It really sets things straight. Why should the FH devs have to put up with people complaining when they're doing all this top quality work for free? makes no sense. In my anger, i posted this rant on the bf2files.com FH2 news post there. I wanted to get the jump on mr. misnomer. Here's the quote:

"Well, honestly, I don't blame them for wanting to stop updates if all they're going to get is a bunch of babies whining about when THEIR FH2 will be on their hard drives. I personally liked the updates (like most people, i think) but there has been that constant annoying population of people that can't treat this mod like any of the other unreleased mods for BF2.

How many mods are in development and haven't been released? Lots. Why is FH2 so different? Do they have this magical obligation to release faster than anyone else? I just don't understand why people complain about something (a VERY high quality something, to be sure) that's FREE not arriving when they want it! It's just selfish. These guys have NEVER given a date, so you can forget about saying that they've lied about anything in the past. All they've given are rough estimates, and even then said they were subject to change.

I think it's a great way to get people more involved in the mod rather than just bashing it or praising it blindly all the time. Cool something to look forward to - im guessing most of the hard part of the coding is done although i dont really know how it works but with the basis of a first release will subsequent campaigns/varying fronts ie. pacific/europe be quicker to be released as opposed to the 2 plus years it took for the first release ?
