Is this a "real" bipod, or just part of the model?

Can you only use the MG34 by deploying it first?

And you didn't see the MG34 animations...art work :P

MG34 can be used just from prone position

Enjoy, our beloved diehards, when we announce the release date we will show all the new stuff, it will hurt so much the UN will send us an oficial complain

it "deploys" when you go prone. The guy flips the bipods open and preps to fire.

You cant fire it from the hip, but you can with the Bren (but the bren has a smaller mag, and longer "sighting" time)

LOVELY

I wonder about it though, when prone, can you whip around and still fire without losing much accuracy or does the pibod resttrict its motion to as far as the gun can swivel?

Can't wait to see mixed air infatry and tank ingame shots.... Can't wait for November. Oh, I'm gonna enjoy THIS christmas that's fur-sure!

How realistic is it that you can only fire the MG34 from prone position? I remember seeing a video of a man firing an MG42 with great accuracy while standing. And MG34 is a light machine gun. You should be able to fire it from any stance. In FH1 it was ok to nerf some weapons to prevent entire teams from being equipped by them, but in FH2 as there are class limits, it is not necessary to make weapons unrealistically weak. The class limiting will automatically ensure that not everybody will choose that particular weapon.

Not while in iron sights. Theyre quite slow to move. Same goes for all heavy weapons, like ATRs and the Bren.

Many many past discussions on this. Our general consensis is that the german MGs were not commonly fired from the hip (though they could be, it wasnt practical at all, and would be rare in actual combat) because they are awkward to use in that stance. And you certainly would not be able to fire it while moveing, and you wouldnt be able to sight the weapon without bipod support.
If we made it able to fire while standing, it would also be able to be fired while running, and able to be sighted while standing, both of which are very unrealistic.
So thats why its only able to fire while prone.

The Bren on the other hand is much less cumbersome and can be handled more like an automatic rifle, making it more mobile as you can fire and sight it while standing/moving. Drawback are that it has a slower rof, less ammo in mag, and slower sighting (time it takes to bring the weapon into iron sights) then the MG34, which is a better defencive weapon.
