The "Mac" version is exactly the same as the "PC" version - the difference is that the Mac on is a rar and the PC one exe. You can download the Mac rar and install it on your PC.

You probably threw it in the 1942 folder instead of the fh folder. A Clan member thought he was supposed to put archives in 1942's archives, that was funny.

No, they don't. They should both (FHT and FHS) go in your Battlefield 1942/mods folder. There is one file that goes in your FH folder.

I've got an odd problem, I have all the textures(awesome by the way), but I don't hear any sound, and the sounds I do hear are just the old ones.

Check that you have a folder called FHS in you Battlefield 1942/mods directory. Also check that your FH init.con looks like this (it can be found in Battlefield 1942/mods/FH, open it in Notepad):
