the new mortar sounds are just amazing, it's great fun to imagine other players run like mad to evade your spawn-raping fire , (or a road raping)

I love most of the sounds from the sound patch save a few.

Yesterday, I was trying to replace my existing Battle of the Bulge map with the version 0.6 cuz mine crashes shortly after I start playing it. So I went through the process removing the sound patch, removing the texture patch etc... Just to isolate the problem..

I actually winced when I saw the game without the imporved textures and the explosion and tank fire sounds are so sad....

But I did note that (at least according to wher else I heard the M1 garand), the original sound was a bit more true to it than the new one, and the new Mg42 sound overlaps over itself and is a bit annoying. Then the sound of the IS2, tiger and Kingtiger, although blood-curdling cool at long distances kinda sounds pre-recorded at close range.... SPR anyone?

And I don't know which is better the SPR 20MM sound for the Flakvierling or the original WHOOP sound?

But you can't thank the devs enough for the sound made by the steilhandgranate though, explosions, tank start-engines... I hope FH2 sound measues up...no, I hope it measures OVER

The Mods file should go in your Battlefield 1942 folder.
