:agreed and besides it's one of the only things that are already in BF2 and that are useable in FH2, don't throw away those tiny bits :D

currently its coded such that primary fire is the mgs, and secondary fire is toggleable between the 4x50kg bombs and the 1 250kg bomb

To anyone that hasn't played BF2 - Vapour trails only appear when effects is set on medium. Get that computer upgraded

Nah, effects doesn't make much of a difference unless there is like 500 Tanks and er.....bombs going off infront of you. Then you'd probably notice some slowdown. And that's me talking on my 6600 vanilla system.

Looks like the 4X50Kg = Soft/Medium vehicles and the 250 would be for those pesky tanks. A bomb is a bomb though, i'm sure 50Kg's worth of it flying off at 200mph from an airplane would cause some sort of damage to a tank.

Re: Newsupdate September 18th -

Considering that tanks have around 10mm, or so, of top armor, a 25lb bomb probably could take it out.

Awesome. Thank you very much! :)

Will the 4x50kg bombs drop at the same time, or will it be one button pressed and one bomb goes?

I would think the same time

Wasn't the real deal dropped as one bomb from each wing at the same time (to keep the balance of the plane)?

I don't usually make nearly pointless posts about news updates, but...

STUKA!!!! WOOHOO!!!
/me bounces up and down excitedly
The look, the sound (going off FH1), the weapon system perfectly implemented...the DESTRUCTION!!

/me regains composure

Of course, the Bedford looks nice, too.

A dev. question : whenever DICE/EA release a new patch, do you feel it eases your modding or do new problems arise ? I am not familiar with coding and stuff and maybe this doesn't affect you at all, but interested in hearing if you've encountered setbacks or improvements regarding the new BF2 patches ?

I think there was a possibility for the pilot to toggle between dropping either 2 small ones, all 4 small, the "big baby", or just dropping away the whole bunch of high explosives (mostly used to bomb ships or statics).

Amazing. The first version will already be bigger than most full-price games! (and better of course)

v1.01 and v1.12 broke a few things which still aren't fixed, and probably won't ever be.

In 1.4 the way "No Vehicles" mode was implemented was batshit insane. I think they were on drugs. Don't get me wrong: it's a nice mode, good idea and we can work with it without problems, it's just needlessly complex and inflexible.

But in general we don't have any problems with patches themselves. The only problems we have is that the debugger and editor is never kept in sync with the publicly released version, and that the changelog never fully describes what has been changed.

chophil September 20th, 2006 11:33 AM

bf2 editor 1.3 work on bf2 1.4 or the fh dev must wait for bf2 editor 1.4????

It would be nice if the devs could also do interior renders of the Bedford truck just like that one in the pic possibly with the same equipment installed and mg's mounted at the sides.

The Stuka looks good, BUT...

You forgot the Dive Brakes!

That is very important on the Stuka :uhm:

I hope they will be added.

Hey it would be cool if the Bedford was used by a German then the truck would change it's insignias to the Wehrmacht Cross plus we can now have mounted MG42's. I'm not too sure about the Stuka though but would be also great if the symbols were reversed to the RAF sign whenever a Brit went inside.

Dude, ^ that is ridiculous. I say, if you want it like that, then there should be a pickup kit with a can of spraypaint and a stencil. Paint your own damn truck, I says.

hmmm, how to explain this...

Well, because the magical fairies that paint captured vehicles... they came to earth to fight along side the Unitarian Army during the Korean war.. there is no historical record of them seeing any action during ww2, although there are some reports of "fairy sightings" ... but I think that we can safely say that these sightings may simply be the result of poor training and\or hallucinogenic mushrooms.

So why haven't the devs included 'Magic Mushrooms' ? :)

Re: Newsupdate September 18th -

I did a little more research on the subject, and I must say that I stand by my original statements... as you can see here=>
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...Lizard/Ca8.jpg

there is obvious reason to believe that this, indeed, is solid evidence that the magical fairies did arrive somewhat earlier than the commonly accepted date of 24 June, 1951.

but if you look at the time stamp on the fairy, you will see with perfect clarity that this photo was staged.

Moose12 September 21st, 2006 02:15 PM

Re: Newsupdate September 18th -

Ahhhh why'd you have to tell me the fairy was staged, I was so set on believing that it was real

SacredLizard September 21st, 2006 02:47 PM

Re: Newsupdate September 18th -

well, like many things in life that are staged,(I have found a number of cases which have been staged, in fact, by the scientists living comfortably in the warmth of Antarctica- that's right, dont accept the lies! Its cold at the NORTH POLE and it gets warmer as you go south-thats why the Canadian Flag is a maple leaf and the Mexican flag is a Tequila bottle)
...it is up to you to choose.. you can believe, and keep living in your fantasy world of magical make-believe, or you can turn around and bend over and take the massive, throbbing reality that Im giving you.

Great update fellas. Its nice to see in-game plane shots as you can view the map that u lot have thrown together. Absolutely can't wait till a real map is created with all these vehicles and ideas put into one. Keep it up ;)

Wow! Your Models are great! Very detailed, incredible work!
1 question though: It looks like the STUKA is firing in the first picture, but only with one wing-machinegun. Dont they fire simultaneously?
