FH 0.7 & Mappacks

which Mappacks or maps can i add on the server (without server crash)?

how can i change the maps for 0.7? is there a tool?

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

You're running your own server?

There are no mappacks for 0.7 yet but if you wait a very short amount of time then the official fan mappack will be released. Everyone will download this so it shouldn't cause any problems with players... ;)

Christ almighty!I Can't wait for that mappack. It's gonna be supernice!
I guess I'll just go grab a beer while I wait.:)

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

Although the Map Pack 6 will be the only one with all new stuff from 0.7, you can also go for Official Fan Map Pack 1, 4 and 5 as thy have maps wich are not repeated in the next packs.

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

I have been wondering about the above post, for some time. I was under the impression, that the older mappacks would need to be redone to work with .7 Then, talking to MrCheese recently (I think it was him ,or another mapper) he speculated that the old packs should still work as is. Is this true? I really miss some of the old maps, and am SO sick of some of the dice maps, that still seem to find their way into rotation. Why can't we have a populated, No dice map server?!? And how about someone start running some of the old mappacks again? I'll hit up the admins at WaW, and see if they might try something like that.

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

Trust me Roadrunner - wait for the 0.7 mappack ;). It'd be great to get WaW admins running them on the server...

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

mappack 5 should still run in .7

although some of the maps are redone/upgraded in the new mappack coming out real soon.

but a few maps that i thought were pretty good are not in the new mappack, so load up mappack 5, then the new one when it comes out, and it will overwrite the old maps with new upgraded ones, and still leave the old maps that are not in the new mappack. this way you get them all :D

Just tell me that Ortona and Chartres are still in the map pack in the new version!?! Well mostly Ortona...I LOVED that one - they just needed to fix the 88 at the church that killed all friendlies behind it:lol:

Your idea about loading up map pack 5 and then the new one sounds good but won't servers probably only be running the maps that are IN the newest map pack only?

SymZ May 13th, 2006 10:32 PM

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

Sadly it looks as though Ortana's not in this release. I too thought that was a fun map.

pvt. Allen May 13th, 2006 10:34 PM

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

Ortona is not in the new map pack. And servers seem to not run the new packs but...
You can install map pack 1, 4 and 5 without any problems, it won't produce any errors as long as you will install them in order. As far as I know only one map from map pack 1 is imcompatible with FH 0.7.

Chartes ownded,I loved it.......

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

It's not in the pack neither, remember that all map pack maps have been presented in FH News Updates some time ago.

FlyGuy45 May 13th, 2006 10:45 PM

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

Why werent it included?

*Avoids slang*

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

Because there were other better maps. Before final choice there is a limit for maps in the pack and we have had more maps than could be released in the pack.

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

Simple answer, but I still liked it, pure infantry, like Pavies house but smaller. Ah well, guess I have to play some stupid map, like "Sprung Night vision", :P

Since all of them were presented in FH News Updates, yes. There are 13 maps.

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

No Ortona in map pack for 0.7 :bawl:

I must have missed that news update. I'm only finding out about this now.

Oh well...I'm sure it will have many other FUN maps! So nothing to complain about really(afterall, what are we paying for this?...oh yeah nothing!).

A bit off topic but here's for lobbying that the FH2 devs do an Italian front right after their first desert release. This would help make up for how this entire front was completely(except for Ortona) neglected in FH1. Not to mention that an Italian front could probably be done quickest as they'll have a lot of the equipment and two of the major armies already from the desert release:)

Re: FH 0.7 & Mappacks

The maps in the map pack are:

Western Theater:
Todtenbruch
Neunan
Road to Ramelle
Carentan
Fall Gelb
Cretan Village

Eastern Theater:
Stushav Area
Kiev
Soletschnogorsk
Zitadelle
Spurning Fate

Pacific Theater:
Tulagi
Operation Lilliput

We're getting a great bunch of maps I'm sure we'll get some good infantry fighting.

Fallschirmjager never had so many maps in map pack or an FH release so you should be happy anyway.;)
