need some help once again

i have 2 EA games that wont instal wont uninstal wont play ive went to the EA site but it didnt help really the games that are facked up are battlefield veitnam and mohaa(medal of honor allied assault) ive tried alot of stuff but nothing works i was thinks of getting one of them computer people to come over and fix it but that costs money. and i was going to call EA (if they have some sort of help line) any suggestions on what i should do?

It's very rare that you CANNOT uninstall a game unless you've tinkered with the games files manually and it causes an error with the uninstallation files.

Can you not uninstall the game using Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs? If you also get an uninstall error doing that I'd have to guess you maybe manually tinkered with some files which at that point you don't have much choice than to just manually delete all the files pertaining to the game(s) you want to uninstall, and then maybe get a registry cleaner to clean up your registry or manually delete the games registry keys in local_machine and current_user.

Not really belonging in General Yib-Yab (Off Topic), rather tech help. But there's a number of reasons why something won't install.

What is the nature of the failure to install? How far do you get? What is on screen? Does it always fail at the same point?

P.S. Not being able to uninstall is actually pretty common. To be a neat freak you can delete the pertinant registry info along with game files (also, ideally you'd want to delete the entry in Add/Remove programs associated with the program). But if it's over your head just the files will suffice for most purposes.

I delete games wthat wont automaticly unistall by just gogin to find all files created by that program and delete myself normallyt this means going through your /c: drive, thats what i normally do.

By manually deleting the files your still leaving registry keys in the system, most likely save files as well depending on the game, considering some games will make an additional folder in c: or whichever drive you've installed the game to or else it'll make a folder in my documents somewhere. Whether or not you still want your save files is up to you, but usually you'd tend to clean up the registry as well after manually deleting the files, or atleast I do.

ive looked in the control pannel it wont delete or uninstal it says "mantinence complete" so i deleted all the files

and i dont know where the "registry files" are ill post screen shots of the thing that opens up when i put the disc in

Strangely enough, this has actually happened to me with two games; Medal of Honor Allied Assault, and a demo from EA Games, although I cant recall what it was.

I used a tool in Norton System Works 2003 that forcefully removes the files from your computer. Basically, the games leave files on your PC in Program Files and Windows, every time you try to install/uninstall the installer recognises the left over files, and you get the error.

Norton System Works does this by finding the directory belonging to the game and compeletely wipes it off your HD. As to why manually doing this doesnt work and Norton does, I dont know.

You can probably get a trial copy of NSW 2005 now off their website. Mess about with some of the tools in the program until you find the one that does the job and you should have no problems from there.

Sorry I cant recall the exact tool, it's been a loooooong time since I had to use Norton to remove files from my PC.

search in the registry and delete everything that comes up about the games. Then you should be able to install them again.

How you ended up in this forum and why you start a thread here is beyond me but anyway..

Have you tried booting in fail-safe (not sure what's it called in English) mode? Whenever I have problem deleting a file that usually helps.
