Default locked tanks/guns

i have been able to play fh yet as ive gone over my university bandwidth cap recently (only 5 gigs up/download total ) but ive been an avid FH player forever (i think sporratically since first release not sure) but ive heard that enemy tanks / def guns (like the pak or the zif) are locked now. can someone clarify in what way are they locked. is it locked even after someone bails? or only when the vehicles first spawns? im all for locking the vehicles when they first spawn, that seems fair. but if its locked even after someone bails from a burning tank, im against that. i like the "stratigic" aspect (some might say it involves no skill what so ever) of stealing an abandoned tank to tip the tide of the battle. teaches the bailers a lesson and also can suprise the heck outta the enemy on maps which give on side all armor and the other almost none. just want a clarification of what kind of lock it is, and also if anyone agrees/disagrees with what im sayin otherwise, im gonna whine some

I prefer to have enemy vehicles locked in fh. This game focuses in combat, and i'm sure in the middle of a combat nobody runs to an enemy base to take an enemy tank.

May be it'd have more sense in a game like World War II online, due its 24H/365D gameplay and resource's control campaign.

You´ll only find locked tanks/guns on maps where it is absolutely necessary as Berlin streets for example. Can you imagine what would happend if the germans got a hold of the IS2 aswell as the KT? In my opinion this was a great decision by the devs and really made it possible to play maps as they were intended to be played.

You'll also find it at Ramelle Neuville and In The Hell of Bocage, because the original mapmaker Otolikos fancies locked vehicles and when they were changed into official FH maps the Devs wanted to respect the mapper's wish and keep the vehicles locked.

It`s very funny to cap a flag,just to have the opposition waltzing in with armor at hand and ready for THEIR use.

I hope that every vehicle besides jeeps and trucks will get locked in FH2, no more heavy vehicles spawning at captured outposts so also no need to complain about having three tanks around you can't use. It really ruins the atmosphere when a enemy has a tank that belongs to your own nation without any indications on the skin that it's an enemy.

Anti Tank guns can be easily destroyed so that the guns of your own team will spawn.

[CoUk]niu don't take a flag unless you can defend it, basic rule of BF1942 (and mods).

The only problem is that some people are using the fact that we cannot get into enemie tanks to perform lame things.

Example being Bocage I was lying in a Hedge with another AT guy ( think it was Artie Bucco) and a tiger comes rolling by I shot it in the ass and it smokes but the Tiger keeps going and doesn't stop till he reaches the church flag then bails and runs into the church knowing his tank cannot be stolen and then greys the flag. I rush back and knife him in the church but I cannot cap the flag as you need 3 people to do so. I'm pretty sure if we would of been able to get his tank he would not have bailed. It just seems what ever the Devs implement some lamers exploit it

And when would that be?Next christmas? Since an uncapped flag spawns more armor.

I think its a good feature, not going into enemy tanks. Controls are different, so it would take some time to know the vehicle.
