Well, we wont see FH2 till the 1.03 patch for BF2, thats for sure the deticated server files cannot handle mods.. yet.

Yet, there are some realism mods already out..

uhm... they have? Just check the community updates on www.battlefield2.com . Can't expect all the BF-newssites to have people posting the latest news 24/7 (and f5-spamming battlefiel2.com )

The Bf2editor is great, although some bugs here and there. Its very easy to use and quite powerful. I have no mapping experience and I made a little map with buildings and vehicles. Then I played it, it was frigging awesome hehe...

Well, this is great news, dl'ing now.

I'm interested like many other people about how much easier this will making modding/mapping as compared to the previous process for BF1942.

Well, Objects/effects section is very very cool, I prefer using notepad and checking it in editor, but I can get used to editor I think.

Mapping is horrible though.

HORRIBLE!

(I alt tab to return to texturing my immense landscape)
