Fall Weiss

While playing fall Wiess a Couple of questions came to mind

Seems like t would be easy to shoot down a bi plane with a Panzer II i shot at one and hit it lots with my bullets but it kept flying by.

also can you shoot it down with your cannon on the Panzer II
Those French tanks seemed to have a bit more powerful canon than the Panzer II even though they were odd looking

Oh and nice map i like the whole early morning feel of the map

Planes are difficult to kill with tanks in FH, wich is unfortunate. I've hit Stukas with T34s and they did not always die on the first shot, bombers are also very resistant. I've tried to use the Puma as an AA vehicule in Alpenfestung, but I couldn't kill anything, even if I was able to hit them.

The 7tp is a polish tank, its "better" than the Panzer II because its a medium tank.

Re: Fall Weiss

Wasnt the Pzkpfw 28 made from a Czech design? I know that the Germans used a lot of captured tanks.

The 1938/39, German take-over of the Czechoslovak state resulted that in March of 1939, 150 of LT-38s in production were confiscated and CKD/Praga was ordered to complete them all. All of them were incorporated into the German Army as PzKpfw 38(t) Ausf A - Sd.Kfz.140. After the German take-over of the Czechoslovakia, the LT-38 became one of the most important tanks used by the Panzertruppe and was retained in production as a tank until June of 1942. During the war, PzKpfw 38(t) were exported and saw service with German Allies including: Romania (50), Slovakia (90), Bulgaria (10) and Hungary (102). PzKpfw 38(t) also saw service with the Allies. Single tank was captured by British and French in May / June 1940, another example (turret number 543) was captured either during the Italian Campaign in 1943 or Normandy in 1944 and was tested in England. Numbers of PzKpfw 38(t)s were captured and pressed into service by the Red Army. Number of PzKpfw 38(t) in service with the Slovak Army participated in the Slovak national uprising in August of 1944. Finally, in May of 1945, PzKpfw 38(t) now known as LT-38/37 (37 standing for 37mm gun) was back in service with the Czechoslovak Army as a training tank until early 1950s.

Re: Fall Weiss

yes the 38(t) was a Czech tank produced by Skoda.
after the tank was taken off the front lines it was modified into different roles.
a tank hunter (Marder series and Hetzer) flak tank (Flakpanzer 38(t)) and a mobile artillery piece (Grille) also a few reconnaissance 38(t)'s where made fited with a 20mm gun..
