Maybe v.7 could be used as the .50 caliber sound? It sounds pretty good. As for the mg42, from what I've read about the rate of fire, it seems v5 is the best.
I have fired MG42 during my military service. All I have to say is...listen to the XWWII version, it's as accurat it can be. And 3,4 or 5 are the ones that sound perhaps the most realistic, the rest doesn't even come close to a realistic MG42 sound.
Looks like V.5 will win
However the Poll will stay another 19 days so I'm shure anyone that is interested in a new MG42 sound can vote.
And those that cannot listen to these sounds please PM me.
And about the Operation Flashpoint sound Real-BadSeed,
I won't make another MG-42 sound as I said in this thread already.
I think any of these sounds sound good and it looks like 95% are happy with 1 of them. I have to make also other sounds and can't stick on the Mg42.
And alltough I can't take the sound and just put it in for FH, but I have to make it on my own just similar as possible and that takes to much time because I already spend way to much on the Mg42.
So that's all have a look at the sound thread, there are new rifle sounds where COD's sound also served as model. And also a new Shermanfire sound together with 2 versions of the reload sound that might be used for all tanks.
...maybe 4 or 5 with slightly more bass but that rate of fire. the postet 4 and 5 don't sound mean enough.
I never fired a real MG42, I can just compare to the german MG3, fired it enough to know it's sound - and it's nearly the same weapon as the MG42 - just some minor changes to the breech block, bipod and barrel.
its not mine,i never made it.
it says in the readme, that its an actual recording of a real mg42 firing.
dont know if thats true, but thats what it says.
i got it from, an addon for flashpoint.
and i thought cap.miller could use it as a reference, for making his mg42 sound.
