i dont know if its been posted or if it can be done but here she goes....
ive played multiple flying games and have seen many movies and found it easier to play while being able to look left and right to see if there is a bogie to the side. i dont know many people that use the mouse rather than the arrows to fly so maybe it could be controlled by the mouse(a look up,left ,right function) i think it would add another dash of realism and playability to the game. whad ya think?
You're allready able to do this LOL!
While flying hold SHIFT and turn the mouse... roflcopters...

So you let off the throttle and go to shift to use mouse view?
I have F11 rear view set to rear hat view so while flying I can just thumb the hat and switch to rear view so I can check my six, front view is set to view I use for flying so I can easily switch back to the forward view since BF1942 doesnt auto switch back to the previous view when released.
Rofl no problems we're all acting like morons from time to time

I've had a go and it does actually work, and it helps a lot too, especially for bombing runs and spotting targets. You can leave the throttle because FH's planes take ages to slow down anyway so it's very effective. I'm going to try it out on XWWII's Coral Sea map.
