I _hate_ bunnyhoppers, it IS harder to hit them if they hop about. As they move closer with their smg, negating the rifles advantage, then they open fire, goodbye.
Then there is the type of people that like the new way the BAR handles, they can run around doing whatever, as soon as they see some-one they can jump, hit z and be fully accurate to blast that person before they hit the ground.
It looks like crap, its not realistic in any way, and crazycanuck please shut up. If we didnt want realism we would be playing DC or Vanilla.

Other than the BAR, which was probably just a lapse in dev judgement, bunny hopping makes even SMGs too inaccurate to work well. A rifle at close range won't have much of a disadvantage, and with 1-2 meters a running rifleman can get a hit while moving because the body fills the crosshair. Jumping with a weapon on the other hand will open the crosshair so much it won't even be effective at 1-2 meter range. Just pick them as they jump toward you.
Well no, the amount of lead some of these smg's or even mg34/42's spit out make them effective at close range, ive been killed many times by someone running around me jumping with a mg42. And also some dude took a m1 carbine hit in the chest while he was spraying me with a m34 from three meters away standing.. i died, he didnt >_>
Jumping sucks, i wish it could be fixed, but i guess not..

Bunny hopping is part of the game, like it or not. I may do it once in an entire night of playing or never in a week. Whether for fun or dancing around somebody trying not to get shot because I've run out of ammo, it's my choice.
Killing somebody while bunny hopping is part luck, part skill. As your hopping you need to effectively control 5 keys, mouse movement and fire button. I've been playing bf'42 since the wake days, until BFV came out and now FH (BFV got boring). Before that I played RTCW since that game came out, and single player going back to the original Castle Wolfenstien 12 years ago. But I'm still not as good as some players at bunny hopping.
But like I already said, it not as big of a deal in FH since accurracy is way off when u hop around, so the odd time when I do it, I do it just for fun.
Lets face it, having bunnyhopping in any game or mod that tries to attempt a realistic atmosphere sucks big time. It's not only stupid to look at, it drives people on the receiving end nuts.
In fact, if people want to bunnyhop around all say why did they even bother downloading FH in the first place? It's a lot easier to bunnyhop in BF1942 or DC so go do it there.
We're going around in circles here, and to be truthfully honest it's getting boring.

You want a realistic atmosphere type HUD 0 in the console. I want to play a video game. Bunny hopping helps in CS, but I have never seen it used with any degree of success in any BF1942 mod. Hell, even in vanilla you can still mow down a guy who is bunny hopping.
I respect your desire to try and immerse yourself in a realistic WWII type environment. But as far as I'm concerned, if you start playing online then you just have to deal with bunny hoppers. The same goes for smacktards, glitchers, repair pad spawn campers, plane campers, and the list goes on forever. If you choose to play online, then you have to learn to deal with the idiots that may or may not be in the server with you...
Bunnyhopping is behaviour of morons high on crack not normal players. Diving to the ground is a realistic action although insta-accuracy as a result is stupid.

Heh heh, I actually read somewhere that the U.S. Army would occasionally issue tablets of methamphetamines to officers to help them fight off drownsiness and stay awake longer. I can't remember where I read that so maybe somebody can provide a source if they have one, but the point is, if you see someone bunny hopping towards you just think of them as a young U.S. officer who ingested too much meth and is now cracked out of his skull jumping at you and firing his Thompson all over kingdom come
