The bunnyhoppers we have now just don't understand that they won't kill anything like that. There would be a problem if bunnyhopping would be an effective strategy.

Bunnyhopping is an effective strategy at times, the only problem is that it pisses off everyone but the bunnyhopper. It sucks to play a great map like Norwind, but all you see is people bouncing around all over the place. It really takes away the atmosphere that FH tries to achieve.

I think some mods added a feature that reduces condition if you run or jump. It's ok if you jump once or twice. But jumping all the time is a bit strange.
I tried it a few times, but usually it was more easy for enemies to hit me like this, or so it seemed.

I don't understand why anybody would be bothered by somebody bunny hopping? There is no advantage, so what's the big deal.

I hop around, or do the dolphin thing, not because it gives me an advantage, but only because I'm either bored (because my opponents are easy kills) or just because I'm in a good/playful mood :) Most times I'm just seeing what the highest obstacle is that I can jump over or smallest window on a map I can jump through but jumping and crouching.

98% of the time I don't do it, but I'm just baffled why anybody would even care?

I mean yep doing bunnyhop would only make you look like a sign saying "KILL ME I CANT SHOOT BACK"

Exactly

Well, you, as the bunnyhopper may think it's fun but for people like me who want to get a realistic feel out of the game dont. It's a big atmosphere breaker, seeing a German trooper with an MG42 jumping around and hitting the ground as soon as he sees an enemy is very frustrating. When I play I try to get the most out of it, I use tactics and use cover fire as well as set up ambushes. It can get very cinematic, so I cannot see why people would want to bunnyhop around like idiots. See? It's sort of the same thing.

bunnyhopping is not an advantage...I mean you got to be realy bad aiming if you can hit a normal running infantry, and not a bunnyhopper...its not like he jumps 5 meters in the air, more like 1/2 meter...

Gawd I hate the DoD stlye strafe-duck-shooters, dive-and-shoot and jump-around-the-corner-dive-and-shoot-players...

Re: Lower class of players......

bunnyhopping is mostly performed by smg toters during reload.
while the rifle guy trys to hit him, before reloading is finished.

now i rarely miss with the rifle, and their hopping doesnt help them. usually!
but im quite experienced at deflection shooting.
so i can see how its frustrating, for the rifle guys.

bunny hopping could be fixed, by disallow jumping while moving sideways and forward.
(straff buttons)
so you can run and jump, just not sideways back and forth while moving forward.
you can jump sideways, but while stationary only!.... like reallife.
which is how people actually jump, while running anyway.

try jumping sideways, while running..
its impossible nearly, and cant be done repetitively, back and forth... IRL
jumping forward is no problem though..
and would be little help avoiding bullets.

its the "side to side" thing, thats what bunnyhopping actually is.
and its intent is to make yourself, harder to hit.
which works!!! unfortunately, because of the "side to side" unrealistic jumping.

and unfortunately its become a play style for many...
i cant think of one FPS that hasnt had the sideways jumping while moving forward THING!!!

and will be hard to "not do" for many...
once the issue is resolved and doesnt work anymore.
in future games, i mean...

DoD used a stamina sys. but still allowed the side to side jumping.
you could only jump once or twice tho... which helped alot.
but wasnt a perfect solution..
