Public servers, which are the best for teamplay?
 
hey all,
im new to the forums and the game and i must say its a really great mod! the only thing im lacking is the full effect of teamplay in this mod as alot of the servers i have played on have few players who listen to their team, i was wondering if there are any peticular servers which have a large amount of teamplaying regulars? it would be good to know which servers you people play on as im sure alot of you realise the beauty of teamwork just like me http://forums.filefront.com/images/smilies/smilie.gif

I dont play on other servers much besides WOLFgaming, we have got some teamplay there usually.. But be sure to be on Teamspeak, else you are missing out on alot. Currently 14 players are online on the TS channel for our server.. it helps alot :)

be sure to review the server rules before you play, however.

Since you asked, try Dead Meat server (public website can be found here: www.warhaus.com )

If you are looking for "regulars" then that's the place. Especially around evening time EST (8pm-midnight). But good luck getting into the server, it's usually full.

However, be warned. Dead Meat is a "war-like" server with "tough" gameplay, so it's not the best place to "learn the game". However, if you are up for the challenge, you are more then welcome to join.

Admins are always on, making sure that smacktards don't stay on the server for too long, and the "regulars" can have the best teamplay possible.

DeadMeat allows baseraping and spawncamping if that's what you call 'tough' gameplay.

ill give deadmeat a try later, im new to this mod but definatley not new to battlefield, my call of duty experience seems to be paying off well with these proper bolt actions :naughty:

Yes, if your team doesn't have the defenses in place, your spawn will be raped. That's why there is a lot of teamwork going on DeadMeat, cause the team needs to set up defense, to protect itself from being baseraped. And with a little teamwork, which is abundant on DeadMeat, any campers goes down quickly, unless it's a remote artillery.

I did not comment on other server's "gamestyle". But thanks to Gobo12's insightfull (and most of all, pointless) comments, i will. WOLF is a children's playground: if a bad boy threw sand in your eyes, you go cry to mommy, and she will punish the bad boy :bawl: . I.e. anyone that knows how to open a landing craft door is grown out of the "protection" the admins provide.

P.S. @ WOLF, don't blame me, i did not start it. This was a nice clean thread untill that fanboy showed up

Last night in Orel a couple of guys started camping on the russian repair pad. One was gone in less than a minute (I blew him up with the arty almost point blank), the other one took off. First time EVER I saw somebody doing that in almost 4 months of playing there almost every night.

Yeah, basecamping is allowed, and so is stealing vehicles, but it rarely is an issue, and rarely abused. Especially not by the regulars...

I wouldn't call Wolf a kid's playground though. I often get my bottom handed to me on a silver plater in there...

I would say the DeadMeat Server or the {TDB} server if there are people in it.

First of all, do you have All Seeing Eye? If no, get it. If yes, then just try out all the avialible FH servers and find which one is best for your tastes. I've found however that the elusive "teamplay spirit" on teams only occurs every now and again, but when it does it gives you a gaming high for weeks afterwards (or maybe I'm just way too into it). There is no real set "teamplay server'" per say, but I think the closest you'll get to that with lots of players is the BFE Public server.

ive found on most FH servers....
the teamwork thing, comes and goes with, who's on and so on...
but can be found at times on all of them
it really comes down to what style of play you like..
as im sure you have gathered from the above comments :)

I got banned from the DeatMeat server about 10 minutes ago because I was swearing because I got Teamkilled 17 TIMES by some idiot! I mean I just lost my patience. Awesome server though.

I was on DM just minutes ago... under what name do you play, dont recall seeing you. Auto kick after 3 TKs is on, so i doubt you were TKed 17 times, however there is no excuse for bad language. And it's not a ban, just a kick most of the times. If you were banned, go to the website and present your case.

BTW, USMA, i enjoyed cracking my shovel on your head :lol:

Sorry man, i do blame you. Gobo said nothing about WOLF, you chose to make a negative comment about it, kindly stop with the stupid comments in "our" direction all the time. Its fine that you dont like the server.. but please just quit it.

I have to lean towards home and say www.eurostrikeforce.com. Due to excessive use of bandwidth after becoming too popular, it's only open at weekends unfortunately.

When i made my "recommendation" post, i did not make any comments on any other servers.

However, Gobo chose to make negative comments about the server i just recommended. So i decided to do the same about the server he plays on. As i said, dont blame me for what he started, but i will finish it: in the interest of keeping this thread open, lets just leave it at that.

I only speak up when I get shot in my own main, because I'm not expecting it, because it's against the rules

Anyway, my favorite servers (in no particular order):

WOLF
Dead Meat
BFE-WaW
Glory of War

And these servers (when populated)
130thPz
TDB
9th Infantry Division (?)

And to be honest, I don't notice a big difference in gameplay between any of them (although the Evils on WOLF can really ruin your day :D)

WOLF is very nice. overall I think its one of the best.
just don't argue too much with some players. (sometimes a smacktard abuses the WOLF server) they are not mature enough to accept their mistakes.
but like I said, go on WOLF for a full server with overall good teamplay.

Meh, i dont see the need to involve another server into your little argument with Gobo, i didnt even know he played there much, and i doubt anyone most of us here do (no offence to you Gobo :D). So no need to start calling names imo.. "he said something bad about something i like, so ill say something negative about something he likes!" Thats not very mature.. since you say you think its a good server..

26.Panzer was pretty good server.. none of the FH servers have really stood out as being known more for teamplay though then others..

Was this really necessary HydraSlav? Talk about upping the anti for a flame back.

I was wondering what happened to you HydraSlav. You used to post at Wolf quite a bit about a year ago or so. Actually, if I recall, you were yourself one doing a lot of "sandthrowing" in our forums, attempting to prove cheaters and rule breakers.

Makes me laugh really having come here to read what you think. Please, drop by our BF kicked and banned forums and tell me how much "protection" we offer.

Actually, according to serverspy, Wolf is usually ranked in the top 3 BF servers Worldwide, not just for FH.

Yes, i was posting screenshots of exploiters and hackers. But if you remember me, you should also remember that i was actively debating against rules such as "taxing" and being kicked for "covert missions in the enemy base"
