There were 90 Ferdinands in Kursk, and IRC 47 returned from the battlefield. Most were taken out by infantery closing in or aircraft.
Ingame, the Elefant is the definition of evil. For both sides. It's hard to fight against, but it's also hard to fight with.
You don't have to fear T34 or KV1, no matter where they are. But: You are a prime target for everybody. You move marginally faster then a rock, and have worse turning capabilities.
In the right hands, esp in defence, the Elefant is a wall, completely impenetratable.
In Noob hands, the Elefant is a deathtrap.
Edit:
@McGibs: There is another way.... Involves a Katyusha an a Su76 driver with balls.
screens from the failed maps I made. I recently got word I can now publish them independently. So once I get them on a few sites I'll be back with a notice. I recommend and other mappers who didn't get their work accepted do the same. I'd like to see the other maps.
They go as follows:
El Guettar, the desert.
Crimea, the port.
Kanev, the winter.

No thats something very close you're thinking of, it looks practically the same though. I know what you're thinking of but I cant remember the name. I dont like the Crimea map much but the other two look incredible Havoc. Nice work.
Wich one was the map selected from you in the second round, Lt. Havoc?
Not sure if I'm allowed to say which 1 of the 4 maps made it and I don't want to jinx my chances or basically piss someone off. Be patient but here's a hit its 2 armies we haven't seen against each other in BF or FH.
Yeah Kanev is the newer refined version of Korsun. If you liked it before then I believe there's only more to love.
