Well its that time again: what country next..(or not?)

There is been some pretty extensive discussion in the past about what country, or any country for that matter, should be done. There are quite a bunch in right now, and regardless of the amount of content they have they will probaly eventually have stuff done for them.

As it stand currently- Canada, Finland, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Poland, United States, and the USSR are currently in FH. Italy and especially France are planned forces that are in development The question now is should another country be a priority, and if so what country/army.

The answer obviously lies in the hands of the devs ultimately, but as with many other things in the the forum, its interesting to see what other players thoughts are on the matter. :smokin:

We need the armies of Manchukuo :uhoh:.. Interestingly, as i propose this less than important country, I read something interesting about the soviet invasion of Manchuria. Indeed, if there is a Soviet vs. Japan (or Manchukuo, for the kick of it) map, well the servers won't be able to complain the japs are ramming planes in tanks because they DID that :

The Air Force trained the air fight and the ground attack against tanks. When the Soviet invaded into Manchuria, the 2nd Air Army ordered the suicide-attack against the Soviet tanks to the Air Force.
But seriously... Some eastern european country like Romania or Hungary could be cool. And you forgot to mention Poland ;)

I think FH has enough countries as it is. Fix the stuff you have and add more vehicles to the existing nations.

Actually only the Japanese Navy is ingame IIRC. Also, you forgot Poland.

I dont consider sub-armys or theaters specific forces of a nation to be a different army/nation/forces or whatever because they use the same voice menu and usually have significant eqipment cross over. Also, some sub-armies are considered the 'same' such as for example early war us in africa and late-war war in the pacific, or for example german para-troopers so its not fair for some to be considered seperate. In other words, creating sub-armies are part of fleshing out a existing force/nation. In this case, by 'force' I mean a nation not a sub army.

Well you just pissed the Poles off

For a new Army I think FH should do Australia.

Give them the following:

Beaufighter model
Lee-Enfield No.5 Jungle Carbine model
Owens SMG model
HMAS Canberra Heavy Cruiser model
CAC Whirraway model
CAC Boomarang model

P-40 skin
Spitfire skin
B-25 skin
Australian Matilda II skin
Australian M3 Grant skin

I consider Aussie forces fighting in North Africa, Italy, and Europe as part of the Commonwealth forces fighting under the Brit flag. However I think the Pacific theatre Aussies should get tehir own aircraft, uniforms, skins, etc.

I also want France, Italy, Poland, Finland, and Canada finished.

Yea thats the hazards of editing things, I intially actually had them (poland) first in the list but then I decided to do alpha order and things got messed up. There in there now though so its ok.

Aussies huh? Hmmm what battles did they fight exculsively at with the japanse that could be made into a map, or part of a battle where they had like a section they were involved in. I think there would have to be several to be worth it, otherwise I think there just to small. Im not saying they didnt, I just have just never looked into them in earnest to know either way.

First two that come to mind are the Kokoda trail and Bloody Buna.

I believe that the team needs to focus on what's in the mod currently. It's starting to get to the "quantity and not quality" mentality, and I'm not sure I like that. They just need to focus on perfecting the forces and equipment they have now, in my opinion.
