Re: Anyone made a light afv map?

if the 222 had 2 positions, dirver & gunner, the m8 would have to have 2 positons also. and while were on topic, the tanks would need a seperate driver & gunner too! thats just ghey!

light AFVs are not ment to be apc's, so dont give them seperate driver/gunners, they are ment to be a type of light tank.

so what has apc's to do with anything. You're just defending it because you like easy kills. Why don't you complain that wz 34 gunner & driver is separated, or even the hanomag? what's the difference? Btw an armored car is far from a light tank, but yes as it is now the sdkfz 222 is better than the panzer II. Separating tanks is useless argument because the devs dont want that realism.

D-fens, i really dont see why you are whining here like a little baby.

The panzer 2 has better armor then the 222. The 222 is faster. So what?

And armoured cars where used as attack vehicles aswell as for scouting. And your easily killed in a 222. So the 222 should be changed simply because you cant understand things such as tactics? Or perhaps because you dont use cover?

Easy kills huh? So wat can i kill so easily that a tiger or king tiger or a other tank cant kill easily? Besides if your smart you'll aim at the person driving it. Or is that too hard aswell?????

And the 222 can be destroyed in 1 shot from a stuart or a greyhound. And the 222 cant destroy anything better then a vickers.....

Besides some of us rather use armoured vehicles then tanks simply its faster and more dangerous. So we should be screwed due to a person who cant accept that he got killed?

Right easy kills.... Hmm if i want easy kills ill drive a king tiger.

Next time think a bit longer before you make such kinds of suggestions..

http://www.gamingforums.com/images/s...rcastic%29.gif Look. Let's go through the facts. The view is hard to drive in because you have the gunner pov. Also when the vehicle starts smoking you're blinded and can't see where the hell you're going. And when I say easy kills of course im not talking about tanks. It's not designed to fight tanks. With 2 players it would be just as effective, but the driver could see where the hell he's going. Give him an artillery spotting ability if it's too boring. Or don't make it 2 player, but then make Wz 34 a one player vehicle and move the ostwind player from driver to gunner position so he's exposed too.

Re: Anyone made a light afv map?

the less people we have, to do the largest number of tasks per vehicle the better. two people in the 222, is the same as 5 per tank; well, not completely, but if we can get less people per vehicle, without reducing the abilities too much we have more people actually walking on the battlefield, and more people in other vehicles.

perhaps we could slow down turrets a bit on all vehicles, and then make main view unable to turn, and leave the F9/aim-view turning with the turret.

Re: Anyone made a light afv map?

D-fens implenting driver/gunner positions isnt going to work on a public server. Most people there play for themselves not for their team.

I think this isnt a issue at all. In real life a tank crew works together as if they are one. Ingame people dont.. So its seems good to me that 1 person (who is ingame the complete crew) controls the vehicle.

And as for the ostwind.. it could be used against infantry(Wich is the reason i think why you want it to be exposed to infantry although i disagree seeing as you can also throw a grenade into the ostwind and kill the person using it).

I quote from Achtungpanzer:

"Main difference was that Wirbelwind was armed with quadruple 20mm Flak 38 L/112.5 guns while Ostwind was armed with single 37mm Flak 43 L/89 gun (both could be used against ground targets as well)."

Here is some info about it.

?? What is not going to work? What I meant with the Ostwind was that the the player should be sitting in the turret and be exposed too.

Hmm fine with me but you should only be able to kill the player by either throwing a grenade in the open top or by shooting at the open part by the turret.
