That is a 'big' problem, but if the devs decide to split the download files into 8 packs of 200Mb each it would be better for 56k guys but more complicated to install, use, etc, so there' s no solution, I think, for that.

Seriously people with 56k shouldnt have bought bf1942 unless they are planning to get faster connection.

Thank God BF2 will no longer support 56k.

I just think in mondern times you cant expect people to take you lacking Hardware into account. Or do you expect DOOM III to run on your 486 DX2 66 Mhz...

A download manager is the best option for people with low bandwidth. If you download stuff bit by bit, then you should have it by the end of the week...

I would think some people in some countries can't get broadband in any shape or form - You can't blame them for that... Ah, I know, they can move to a different country
People with 56k I'm sure will want to download FH0.65/6, if not for online play then for the SP-additions I would guess. I just hope for their sakes it's hosted on a 'resuming' server.
Personally I dunno how well BT will work for me (300k cable) as I'm sure my upload speed is dire.. (NTLWorld).

Hey, another NTL customer

Did you find when you speed went from 150 k to 300 k that ur DL speeds hardly changed? I went from 600 k to 750 k and they hardly changed Anyway back to the size the bigger the better.

Er, I was already on 300k (paying for 150k) - an undocumented benefit of using the STB (it allocated 150k for the PC and 150k for STB-browsing; which I never used, so you get the full 'width' )
Pity then that it didn't inrease to 450k - it just stuck to 300k
Found it's well fast enough for game-playing anyway.

The mod is pretty big, Im d-loadin now! Can't wait meant to be really good. I mean if thats how big its got to be, so be it. If it would be crap if it was smaller....Then lets have it bigger. 1 Question, Do a lot of people play it?

I don't understand all you guys who want the mod broken up into smaller files instead of a couple of bigger ones..... That won't help you. You STILL have to download the full size, no matter if you broke it down into 15 100Mb files...it is STILL 1.5 gig or whatever.

please explain why 4 downloads of 400Mb is "better" than 2 downloads of 800Mb or 1 download of 1.6Gig.

There are currently 81 servers available and 283 people playing. Though this is not Forgotten Hope's peak playing time...
