Re: Gaming: To each is his (p)own(ed)!

Check out The Devil's Brigade. We have almost 30 members, 4 major divisions, military ranks and even decorate our soldiers for their achievements. As for recruiting, we'll take anyone on as a Cadet but if they can't carry their own weight we give them the boot instead of promoting them to Private. Not a lot of matches lately since everyone seems to be too chicken shit to fight us, but we sure love to rape the pubbies who join our server. :nodding:

I guess the problem the way I see it is realism. Most of these clans use rankings, apply rules, crap like that. The evil foods would be the only clan I can think of that doesnt resemble a division at 5% strength. Every other clan recruits any asshole that decides to walk in... 130th has 60 members, if not more now! Most of them, are morons.

Most people look at clans are are like "thats easy, god I could run one" and decide to start one, with good intentions, and end up finding out it is a PAIN in the ASS and is NOT easy. There frankly aren't enough clans to get competition going as of right now. DC's death will bring in some fresh meat but it will take a bit longer for the clan base to build up. Now when .65 is released next week it should bring in a lot of people as well.

Evil guys are just a bunch of friends that play under a communal name and under a TS room. I dont think they even have a website.

11PzG does let most people in, but those who are craptastical morons get cut and booted. This happened a while ago. Also, you have to consider that a lot of people use popular clan tags and go Impostering, which is acting like a jackass and giving the clan they use tags of a bad name. Its not at all uncommon. Evil has it happen a lot.

18 years old and he seems so bored of playing online... May be if you were grown up in the '8 bit age' or 'Pong & Atari arcades age' you'd value this multiplayer games more, despite those noobs or idiots...

I've been part of clans too, in CS & other games. I've played DoD, DC, BF1942 & FH a lot. And I'm only looking for fun. Realism too, I love it, but if there is no fun, I don't care the realism or something else. Sometimes is really funny play in public servers. There're noobs, but sometimes is funny to see them doing that kind of stupid things. Still playing with the rest of the players to win the round, and if you don't win, never mind, is only a game.

I love the World at war tournament. I have been part of that battle of europe tournament with DoD, and WaW with BF1942 is great. It's the best playing experience I've lived with BF1942. Communications, strategy, real teamplay. But the first rule is to get fun. It's the main objetive. If some of you haven't try to play in that tournament, TRY IT. Is a must for real BF1942 players.

I'm agree with you about the Half life voice communication feature. Today any multiplayer game must have it. And if it's a game like BF/FH is more important than add more maps or objets with new EA patches.

I usually use the TS servers when playing WaW public servers or other servers, but many times TS are only use to say jokes and similar stuff. But I still love that IP voice coms.

And dude, I never have been a soldier in real war (and I hope I never be part of a war), but I'm sure in real war there are noobs & idiots too.

If you're looking for an 'elite group of players' try a real world tournament. You can be a professional player and play around the world if you're good enough.

Or try to play singleplayer modes in "Call of duty" or "medal of honor". May be you will be happier :naughty:

Yep, I've readed your entire post, but I'm not bored because the large text. I think I feel more tired of that kind of criticism than bored.

So relax & get funny online rounds. 'Nothing is perfect' as we say here in Spain. And this include online gamming :nodding:

Start

Im just trying to get a feel for this game right now, on a social level so Im looking to get some oppinions from all of you gamers out there on what you think when you play the game, and how you play it... Or how you communicate with others.

Me, personally I cant connect with anyone on BF42 period. While I use Teamspeak on a daily basis (between old clanners from everything), connecting with players on a BF42 server is rather, frustrating to say the least. How so? Well, WOLF has its TeamSpank server, I looked inside of it once or twice and found it rather confusing to know where I should place myself, as the website stated it was empty. Didnt bother never more with that, rather attached myself to my music during gameplay. So that destroyed any verbal communications I could have achieved. If you look back to HL, it had a built in mic support, I loved that feature, it is the only reason I actually purchased a microphone... To play CS/DoD and (if you believe it) command pubbies around.

There I found, that while some people listened to what I told them what to do, others were enraged. They were generally the players who owned a microphone but when it came to their own scores, pulling a 2:1 was neer impossible for them fools. :nodding: I still remember the days of DoD Avalanche, and telling people to move through the church with me and how to and when to move past what to aviod MG fire, or assult when and were, claim knife kills, etc.

I guess I figured out pretty early that I needed a clan... But I didnt really want one. Looking back at it now, my clanning days began back in '99 or '00. I know that the first clan I joined was... SCC (Or StarCraft Confederacy), a clan leaded by this kid named Duke, who I still talk to for favors and such. The clan died, twice, got left with like 4 people, got rebuilt... Well its still fucking alive. Believe it or not thats incredible, I was 14 when I got there, Duke was 13, and now were both fuking 18... Except I left after a year.

Than followed more clans in StarCraft... There was DL, something else, SF.. SF was Stealth Force. I made a friend in DL, Criminal(DL) and well we got into SF. I posted long posts about what the fuck was wrong, got flamed like I do here, well... I didnt change. Long story short, the creator of SF, Spider, got his website fucked up by Criminal, he got banned (Criminal), Spider left, sold the clan to someone else, I stayed (dont know why), later made a new friend called Psybadek, left, and made my own little hell hole with Psybadek called:

*Drumroll*

eXposure

By that time I went through so many fucking names I couldnt count... I believe when I made eXposure it was '02 summer. My names were: Pro0f --> Pinkus ---> Overkill ---> SnObaLL ---> Cyanide... When I got the name Cyanide I made eXposure. (Im not counting the names I had for Diablo2, as those accounts had mules, some chars, and well... I never clanned on Diablo2.)

And well, eXposure was a hit... We made 120 memebers, were active, and we made our own team for ... That SC league. I managed... Me.. Myself... to recurit a man who was in the top 100 best player in Star Craft! Well what really happened was I recruited 3 people, all so fucking good they tought me and than some, and they brought in these super l33t people. That was about 4 months in... But for every good player I recruited, we got about 10 new morons.

In the middle of it all, I joined a clan called [iA], for Counter Strike. There I made 2 more friends who I still bitch and moan too, and we still play. I got good in CS, [iA] died after like 2 months, I got back to buisness in StarCraft again, it was about 6 months in by now, lasted 2 more before I left, Psybadek left with me, and it was over. The leet players quit when I quit, the newbies tried to buy the rights to our website but Psy didnt sell out and well it was gone.

Tired of everything out there, I began experimenting... With MOD's. This was late, late, late 02' if Im correct. Well, I knew DoD ever since I knew CS. But I never liked WW2, the square shape of the MG42 that I now love bothered me a lot... and the MG34, while cooler looking, looked like an elongated penis.

I didnt know shit about WW2 to say the least...

Anywhoo, as I got better I didnt get back into clans for a long time. Sick of all the bullshit I put up with eXposure (and the only reason why I cant tolerate a lot of people) I spent days on the DoD forums, learning more and more, about infantry (kinda why Im a driver now, DoD had it all once, than it went to hell.. I bought BF42 when it went to hell)... As more time passed, and I bitched on my Mic more and more to the pubbies, got invited to Cal-I clans and rejected offers (STUPID STUPID STUPID), I finally decided to settle on a happy medium. I browsed through the DoD forums to find a clan and got into 2: Canadian Club and American Allies, I shit you not, those are real clans.

I got out of CC when it wasnt all Canadian to say the least, and sat my ass down with the Allies. Stayed for 2 months, had fun... Or less, or more. Cant remember. But do remember the fun times I had playing Allies on Anzio with those people. There, I finally was introduced to TeamSpeak.

By that time I had so much more alliases that I was shitting them out every day... Lets see here: P0st@L ---> Skitzo ---> P0st@L Je$u$ ---> What Would Jesus Do? ---> Fallschrijager ---> SupaUgly... And to make it more interesting when I got killed by someone I added a "SSJ1" or a "USSJ2" (like from DBZ when they go Super Sayian) and started killing people like that...

You wouldnt believe how many people that pisses off when your scoring 15-1 on DoD Avalanche with an StG44 on a 16 player server with those "Godlike" sounds and ... AND... Alltalk is on. Say shit like "I GO SUPERSAYIAN", and than kill them again and again and again.. Makes them so frustrated but its so funny... Hear them curse at you. Get all cocky. I busted out so many tears from crying while laughing at that, that... Shit, it was funny.

Anyway, I can be nice, I can be mean, I can be many things... You put 4 or more beers in my system and I will stirke with a fist full of vengence when you cross me, or I'll laugh it up. I smoke a joint and the game just becomes totall nonsence... I start wondering outside calling up my friends to goto a bar or something, only to come home drunk and play this again.

So how do you show your emotion on BF42? How do you show gratitude when no ones listening? I cant be writing all day long when Im playing... Its hard enough to talk to some guy named "Evil Rusk" on Adak Island while your wielding a Springfield and trying to aim at the Japs. How does he know your joking around when you say "I'll see you in hell" I guess I could type more smilies, but than I'll get shot in the face. Honestly, I try not to be a nice person when I play public, since when its in public, whats the effort?

Theres only three times when people listen:
1. When you get shot.
2. When they got shot.
3. When one of you is TK'ed.

Two out of the three they come off pissed.

More or so I cant stand incompitence. Truely deeply I cant... Should I show respect to a newbie who gets into my tank and steals it when I start repairing? Drives off and gets it blown up in 5 seconds? Or them stupid assholes who think their pilots, camp anything that spawns a plane, call themselves "Aces", to get swatted like flies when they get in the air. I dont know. Manners are for people who show patience I suppose, and I dont think that goes towards a game like BF42, where the normal thing a person says is: SRY!!! DIDNT MEAN TO TK YOU!

Atleast that shows effort, the other 3 quarters dont try to appologise.

I guess thats playing with pubbies. Some got it, all of the others dont.

While I did start hating clans after eXposure (look up), some of the ones on here were even more bullshit. Theres about 20 clans, I figure. More propobly, unannounced, with a fate of death in a week or two. What I truely hate about them is the lack of competition. Theres none! Theres a leauge for FH, but with 10 clans, well... Nobody realizes that he who picks and chooses wins. Clans shouldnt be about having the most members... If thats what it was, well hell everyone should join BFE! Play favoritism at its best, but I wont get into that.

Between the clans that there are, and other crap... Personally I love being a pubbie at his best, and should there become a clan that has captains and members, accepts people for what they are, is easy going and dedicated, well when that happens I'll jump the horse and ride it to hell and back.

All we need are 10000 more FH players now that DC is dead. Someone should stand up... Someone.

We played 130th ages ago and were not happy with their tactics of bailing for flags, we still pwned them though. They accept anyone hence why they have players with scores of like 10 4 22 but having said that you get like 15 of them of their server so I guess they are bonding as a unit and might be a good clan later on. and about the Evils I wish I had some mates from College to play FH with :( they all play Championship Manager and the Fifa games

Why would the vast majority of forumers read this BS, when for the past week or so all you've done is whine and cry about everything, only someone needing serious help would write this.....Infact can you summarise wtf this is all about?
