Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH And it's really not so much my two experiences that have me so frustrated - that could've been two isolated jerks. It seems like with FH there is a lot more non-stop yelling at other players during games about how they should or should not play the game tacticly. Granted, I've only played for three weeks. And again, this might be a normal result of teamwork having added importance. Does anyone else notice this? |

Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH I think that they should make the artillery so you can only enter from the second seat. This would prevent people from getting in while your firing and driving off. |
Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH Some players just type 'ftk' into the chat window, which is amusing. All these things are just part of learning how FH is played and you're bound to catch crap from someone who doesn't like how you play or you've accidentally tk'ed. Two things that I hate are the guys that hound you about being a 'dirty noob tk'er' when you've killed them on Berlin because they picked up a Russian kit and they weren't wearing a white helmet anymore. Happened to me last night, and dude, give it a rest. And guys that harrass you for an 'ftk' when they don't deserve one. |

Bulge is an intense map. If the allies are down to 1 flag and all they have is 1 Sherman, that tank is their only chance for victory. German armor is good on that map and there's a lot of things that can kill you easily. You probably just recieved some pent up frustration from the guy who bitched at you. Keep in mind though, tanks aren't Vanilla tanks. They are real tanks with the advantages and disadvantages of both. One good hit from an enemy tank is all it takes. One good hit from a Faust will do you in as well. Tanks are powerful but unless youve got a Tiger or KT, don't go "Rambo"ing with it because you'll just get picked off. Tigers and KTs are the only tanks that can really take hits. Churchills can take 1 or 2 shots, the front armor of Stugs is decent, and an IS-2 can weather a few 88 shells, but most tanks are one-hit-kill. |
Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH If Im TK'd and it was obviously an accident I usually FTK anyways because I could tell it wasnt intentional. If the TK seemed to be from stupidity or intentional I want an apology and if I dont get one I type PTK. A guy the other day on our team "accidently" TK'd about 4 people in a row in what we felt was not an accident and the guy would not apologize so all of us that were Tk'd by him PTK'd him. Eventually he was killed and you could tell when he respawned as he started cussing us out over chat. A simple apology would have prevented that. Instead he dropped and didnt come back. |
Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH About the BAttle of the Bulge. Guys. Think for a minute. The only tickets that bleed on the Bulge are the german ones. The americans can hold the ticket count forever, even if they only have one flag. I'm tired of watching noobs rushing out the american main base to cap flags, and getting killed by the hundreds. The american team has lost many many times doing things that way. The right way to win the Bulge is to hold on to the american main base (where all the tanks and supplys are) and let the germans die by the hundreds trying to cap it. Instead, all the noobs rush OUT of the american base, taking all the tanks with them, and dying. The germans get their tanks and infantry in, and nobody is there to defend it. No tanks, and very few people. If the flag goes white, nobody can spawn. When this happens, its only a matter of time before allies lose. If they should hold that flag, keeping the armour and infantry there, they would win easily. But they choose to rush out. The tickets bleed when americans die, and the ticket bleed for allies is far greater when they decide to rush out and get killed outside the surrounded base. Is this so hard to understand? |
Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH Well whatever the case on Bulge, the teamkill was understandable. It happens. Don't get yourself all upset just because some jerk got mad at you. We here at the forums are generally nice guys and will try to help you out if we see ou in-game. Just remember: it's only a game. |
Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH As long as you dont jump out of a half dead tank - especially the KT - or blindly fire artillery onto nearby friendlies you should be ok. I've been there with the allied player using enemy equipment. Its a risk they should accept to take, but they think there is none. Of course one should check their mini map before firing but sometimes it can be confusing to look at and you need to make a decision very quickly lest you end up toast. Good luck with your FH adventures! :D |
Re: Tolerance for the noobs to FH ww2freak - that's a very good point re: the bulge and would explain the anger. I still think it was justifiable as there wasn't armor in the town when I started advancing - but, definitely more understandable with the perspective you added. Guess is has been that long since I regularly played that map :) See you all online! |
