Now imagine he will only find a 0.65.
He will go "wtf? where is 0.62 everybody talked about? where can i get the missing files? do I have to download 0.62 63 64 and 65? Is there a 62 or did they rename 0.62 to 0.65?"
and know where he will go to get all these questions answered?
Riiiight
He will come in here.
maybe hundreds will come in here.
So lets just call this 0.62 right? And stick to this system at least for all 0.6x versions.
If we get the feeling that it would be better to call it 0.7 (suggesting thats its a new big big downloads with lots of new features maps and vehicles) we will let you know. But actually 0.7 will introduce the French and the early war to FH. | Although you have a point there AceS, I still think the arguments mentioned above are more valid.
Anyone whos ever played a Mod, knows that you don“t always get updates in 0.1 steps.
Instead, the updates generaly are representative for the amount of content added. An 0.01 update is regarded by most players as pure bug-fixing and balance tweaks, while an 0.05 update is regarded as a fair size content update.
An 0.1 Update then could be a major content and feature upgrade or even a complete recode (as in FH 0.6).
This is the general perseption of the majority of Mod-Players, may it be HL-Mods, BF-Mods or Mods for any other kind of game out there. |
