Re: Fh 0.62? explanation: new player joins the FH community. He already got 0.6 and 0.61. What will he look for next? Right.. Next version number. Which is 0.62 Now imagine he will only find a 0.65. He will go "wtf? where is 0.62 everybody talked about? where can i get the missing files? do I have to download 0.62 63 64 and 65? Is there a 62 or did they rename 0.62 to 0.65?" and know where he will go to get all these questions answered? Riiiight He will come in here. maybe hundreds will come in here. So lets just call this 0.62 right? And stick to this system at least for all 0.6x versions. If we get the feeling that it would be better to call it 0.7 (suggesting thats its a new big big downloads with lots of new features maps and vehicles) we will let you know. But actually 0.7 will introduce the French and the early war to FH. |
Re: Fh 0.62? Good observations I think :) and who's gonna argue with Aces...? |
Re: Fh 0.62? *raises hand, gets bad glares from around the room, lowers hand* But yes, good logic, hadn't thought of it that way. |

I used to follow the HL mod Day of Defeat ever since 1.2b, and when the developers introduced beta 2.0 after 1.3b, no one asked where 1.4-1.9b were. It was understood some big-time changes/addition were made to the mod, and that was that. And I'll bet the higher v. number attracted more in the gaming community than if for some reason the devs decided upon an unconventional numbering system. |
