I agree with those classes except that on some maps there should be another class, The Sapper, basically the engineer with only 2 mines and a pistol instead of the rifle or SMG, or maybe just an SMG (maybe silenced sten for the british) and instead of a knife, how about a mine cleaering tool (it shouyld take a bit of time to disarm a mine too so that they're not unrealistic)
I alsio have 2 gripes.
1. The carriers are WAY too small make them bigger! and line the planes up in columns, fighter bomber/dive bomber/ torp bomber on one side and fighters on the other (maybe a third column as well?)
2. The Type 88 shore gun on Iwo is great but there is a pilaron the left that stops you from covering the whole beach can you redesign the bunker it's in?
A bazooks + a rifle + ammo is way too much, nevernind the fact that in this case the bazookaman has to carry his own ammo when usually there is a loader travelling with him.
Maybe what FH really needs is a supply class. Give the man a rifle, and than give him lots and lots of ammo and mark him off like a supply box. Than he can carry 2 belts of MG ammo, 4 AT rockets and some clips and mags. Than if he finds a ammo dump he can supply resupply himself and than others.
That way, an AT class could have a rifle or SMG, and a Bazooka with 1 round, and a maximum capacity of 1 round.
Ugh...bazooka soldiers didn't carry rifles! They don't need one anyways, a pistol is fine.
Can anything be done about this: when picking up an enemy kit does the helmet have to change? cant you just make the helmet part of the model so it doesnt come off when they die or when they switch classes?
OK... I saw some guys arguing about this yesterday too, but when do we all stop complaining about "Well this is how it really was" and remember that this is a game thats supposed to fun to play. Being somewhat more realistic then BF is awsome, I love this mod, but there comes a point where if you guys keep asking for such insane realism that the fun stops.
No pistols? Come on now...you really think the'll be more knife fights?
No Expacks? Thats just guys in tanks mad cause you didnt watch your flank in the external camera. I think it should just take more than the 3 a engie can carry to take out a tank, make it equal to 4 expacks so he can reload once. A satchel charge the guy will just drive away from.
I personally like things the way they are except for a few tweaks here and there (flight physics, map/glitch fixes, map balance fixes, a few new toys on the maps).
Why does everyone keep complaining about classes, is it really that bad now? No I dont think it is.
please please please... just keep this mod fun to play. Too much realism will certainly take away from that which is why I had stopped playing XWWII. It was just not really fun anymore.
