The main problem I have with the game is the maps. Some are so broken or completely unbalanced that they should not (and quite often are not) even played. I'm NOT saying there should be a unit-to-unit balance, but for the love of jebus, if one side has an overwhelming advantage of some sort (better tanks) the opposing side should SOME way to deal with it (more tanks, or well-placed AT in the map). Or anything like that. Maps need some serious work.

Aside from that, the Arty in most maps is useless, poorly-positioned, or simply bugged to hell. Two things I have always wanted to see are artillary batteries, and fixed arty spots on key parts of the map. (eg. a bridge or valley). If you want to pound on an enemy base, scream for someone to spot it. Another possibility, is make it so arty spots STAY when the spotter dies! If someone reports a location, why should the spotter dieing make any difference?

Arty also fires too damm STRAIGHT! I know this is probably more of a realistic representation how it actually fires, but taking into account the size and scale of the maps, the shells REALLY have to be made to LOB again. In MANY cases, especially how the arty is positioned in a lot of maps, it is impossible to hit in most locations because the shell will fire straight and hit an obstacle. It almost seems that on a lot of maps Arty is put in place if AT defences! NO NO! I mean, there is a PAK40.. the german 88.. aaand that's about it for AT. the other sides REALLY need static AT weapons.

Camping repair pads! UGH! Nothing more frustrating than a KT camping on a repair pad in you main base in BotB. I'm not saying take them out, they're necessairy, but one thing I've always thought of doing, was why not make it so that you have to be NOT MOVING OR FIRING for the repair to take effect. If you move or fire, the repair will halt until you stop moving, and pause for say a timer of 10 seconds or so, then continue repairing SLOWLY.

Umm, rifles, pretty much good, but I would like to see the Xhairs jump open more when you fire. As it is, you can fire as fast as you want and the accuracy will stay 100%. Reload animations need to be fixed. Oh, and LOTS of times I've been getting 'wound' shots when I really should not. Example - Omaha Beach. The Axis MGers ONLY have their head exposed, correct? But when I hit them, maybe 40% of the time it takes 2 hits.

I LIKE this! A compromise between Push-style maps and rambo-rear-base-capping. I can see on a LOT of maps where it would be much better to have a "You cannot take this flag until you take these flags" idea. May be hard to implement though. You can't always be defending every base you own. You need an overwhelming force at the front to be able to push forward. Plus, most people refuse to defend anyway. Mines - are going to have to be better. Either make them do MUCH more damage, or when the engie lays them, each one layed drops a 4X4 gid of them Maybe have them submerged more so you can only see the caps, but that's a maybe.

Something I talked to McGibs about a little while ago, and I just want to make sure he doesn't forget, TRANSPARENT MINIMAP FLAGS! PUHLEEEASE!

Uhh.. other than that, love the game, I'm addicted to it like a fad kid on candy. Keep up the good work.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a 64 PLAYER SERVER with no lag, like in Vanilla. That is my only pet peeve with this mod.

Ok, here are my 2 cents... ,-)


What I like in FH
*****************

- Gameplay feels quite good; much butter since 0.5
- I really like most of the Models and Skins alot (Some could be improved with adding some scratches, dirt, etc...)
- MG Tripod - Damn I love that thing... Too bad it doesn't work properly right now, because I can't pick it up once i dropped it - On some Maps I can't even drop it
- Stug III F, my favorite tank (Besides the KingTiger of course ,-)
- This little "mg-bunkers" on Guadalcanal or the trenches... ahh... just great... please add more Stuff like that
- The map Wake - From looking one of my favorite (unfortunately not from playing - could be improved, I think) - Please add more maps like this one
- Same goes for goldbeach
- Pilot Kits
- The towable Flak 18/36, except that it's quite hard to drive the halftrack. On one map (can't remember which actually) it's almost completely not driveable
- Many more I can't remember right now...


What I dislike/could be improved/should added in future realeases

- Unupdated Vehicle/Weapon section of fhmod.com (If you need someone, I probably could help... ,-)
- Jagdpanzer: I think the skin should be redone
- Engeneer: Most annyoing class... I think it should be changed in some way. (I'm sure you know why...)
- I would like to see the wrench completely removed from FH. Only Support-trucks should be able to repair tanks
- Some improved sounds would be great for the atmosphere
- Flight physics...
- Flak 18/36: It's a little bit annoying if you don't know which ammo is loaded... Why don't you just add the AntiTank (or AntiAir) Shells as secondary fire? So you can add icons for both amm types.
- Tanks like Hetzer, Jagdpanther, SU 85, Sherman Jumbo etc... There really should be some of them ,-)
- Add more Skins for static objects, like the great skins from bunkers, it adds so much to the atmosphere
- The bug with the flying betty you can spawn in on wake (great idea btw. !) - If you spawn in the betty when someone is flying, you got killed and your mate gets a TK (I assume you know this already, but I just wanted to mention that)
- Remove this ugly Schwimmwagen from boacge or replace it please
- Artillery / At-Guns: Would be great if you could reimplement the 360° turning
- Please make the wrecks of tanks stay longer - would be great for atmosphere and gives some cover for infantry
- Some vehicles missing their wrecks

Not exactly, we want the engineer hanged for treason (being a cheap bastard class), and than we want the repair truck.

Wiccan Magic on the battlefield, repaired vehicles in seconds (not even minutes), too damn multipurpose.
