The way it's turret rotated looked kind of funky, tough you have a lot of visibility a real tank crew doesn't. But anyway, you have a form of mouselook and your turret will follow your pointer in it's own rotation speed.

Soudns the same as the rail-shooter vehicle levels in MOH:AA. You can point your mouse as fast as you like, but the turret moves at a consistent speed. It might be ok for this, but I doubt the engine can render it.
