Port Problems Ugh ok...I've just installed Azureus hoping that it would DL 0.6 faster than Emule (wich was "humanely" put down) and it asks me for my bittorrent port, and it's not the default 6881, how can I find out? |
Re: Port Problems it did the same thing to me, dont worry about it, just say OK and continue, it'll work |
Re: Port Problems yah, but you only get dl speeds of like 20kbs if your lucky |
Re: Port Problems i got highs of 220, so maybe i was lucky? |
Re: Port Problems 7 hrs left with azureus. |
Re: Port Problems thats nice but it still doesnt awnser my question, how do I find what port is my BT port? |
Re: Port Problems when that screen comes up, just click "OK" and proceed to the next screen, where as far as I remember is the last screen. So just ignore that part of the setup |
Re: Port Problems yes but if I ignore that my download is going to take a longer time than if i can find out what it is |

Re: Port Problems where would the router settings and window$ firewall settings be in control panel, Admin tools, accesibility options, network connections... |
Re: Port Problems What fastest PORt to run it on then? |
Re: Port Problems Quote:
EDIT: I would stick with the default port of 6881 -- no one port is going to be faster than the others. |
Re: Port Problems Bittorent uses ports 6881 to 6999 hope that helps. |

Re: Port Problems thanks for the help guys, I'm still confused as hell but Azureus seems to be running at above 150kbps |
Re: Port Problems Quote:
@Jakester The most common port is 6881 since it's default. |
Re: Port Problems heath column? where's that woah, speed just shot up to 250kbps (knockwood) |
Re: Port Problems Azureus managed to crash my router every time I start it. I had to reconfigure that thing 3 times before I decided I'd stick with Emule's 30kbps. I think Azureus is screwing on ports that it should be. |
