"To arms my brothers! It is time for our final battle. We have pushed them back to their motherland. There are only a few of them left, our victory is near. Search and destroy. Deadline for extermination: Sunday the 15th of February."

Who is the enemy? What war are these guys fighting? I was just about throwing the letter away, but I turned it around and saw a little pic that was attached to it.

I couldnt imagine how to connect the black rider with the people on the picture, so I just threw it away and followed the main route down to the next city. The rider gotta get some sleep.. and this city is the last civiliced point in a hundred kilometres. Maybe I'll find him there.

I would assume the 'final battle' means the final beta version has been released.

I would assume 'them' refers to the bugs in the beta, there are only a few of them left, and their elimination is near. They are playing the beta alot, finding them, and eliminating them, thus "search and destroy".

I would assume the deadline that all bugs will/must be delt with by is February 15th.

I would assume that a release cannot be long after such a date.

I would assume I am a genius, which clearly shows, my assumptions are not always accurate. But I feel confidant on this one...

Seems to me that the dark rider carrying a cd with fh on it is akin to them saying "they have gone gold" meaning they have finished up fh and are preparing it for distribution. Going gold is when a game company has finished a game and sent it to the company to be copied and packaged and distributed.

The picture is of Rayzaks Roughnecks from Starship Tropers preparing to do an assault drop, as going into combat.

Before going into combat their commander Lt. Gen Razak would say "Live Forever apes" and the unit would call out "Roughnecks Ho!"

I would guess this means FH 0.6 is done and will be released 02-15-2004.

If Im wrong then I will say "Hey you fucked up, you trusted me, here have another beer!"

Besides we know it will be out soon anyways.

sounds good in relationship with a post hartmann made at fhnation.de.
but there is still the fact that the mods where always fair in the past (no releases when other mods releases too), so i don't know what to believe now.

I don't think that 02/15 will be the release date, as the letter stated :" deadline is 15th of febuary. that means 0.6 will be released > 02/15. Lets wait for the part where he searches in the town for the rider and then we will know more. If todays update will be the video then Iam sure we will all (read : only me) will have 0.6 next friday. I hope the boys can pull of a smooth release without any hotfixes or delayed releases. Take your time Devs.

I hope the devs realise that if they don't release .6 sunday than this board will collapse in on itself and then the universe will do the same from all the flaming and billions of threads. I'm going into a bomb shelter on sunday.
Also, look at Ohioan is happy. This is probably the first time in months. What he says alone if .6 isn't release will cause mutliple black holes to form. :scared:

I don't post much on these boards for a variety of reasons, but I think all this fanfare surrounding the release date is hilarious. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see .6 released ASAP, but it'd be a trip to see the fallout on these forums if it's not released on the 15th.
