Re: Battle of Britain That is how i tried to save those drowning wrecked JU52 passengers....at least one of them, since the BF110 had an empty tailgunner spot open. But the BF110 goes stalling too readily for me to loiter idle over those drowning passengers so i would loose my plane too.....so i flew by too fast sevral times and the rescue failed, 5 tickets lost to suiicide and drowning..... Since there are no airborne enemies in Crete, ( ideal for light defended flying boats ) some idiot had shot down their own Ju52 from the Ju52 itself over the water ( still far outside FLAK reach, i think they fired Panzerfausts inside the Ju52 ) My BF110 was severely damged by FF from the airfield too......frustrated plane campers no doubt......will we ever get rid of tards ? Btw.....the Swordfish, Arado and waterlanding Zero aren't exactly the flying boats i had in mind........more the Sunderlands, PBY Catalina, that HE 115 or german Dornier flying boats.... |
Re: Battle of Britain Rescue planes are a cool idea, but with the amount of disregard people have for their own and other's "lives" in the game, I doubt they'll be much more than decoration. I think it would be interesting to play a game of FH where everybody only has one life. It certainly would change the dynamic of the game. People would play more carefully, and would probably use better tactics, out of necessity. But of course there would be the two campers left at the end etc, and it would drag on. It would be interesting to try out though. |
Re: Battle of Britain I think it would't be a problem with the catalina and the others. you now they would probely only be on in a map, and i would love to be the hero, so would beast of war so far I can understand :p |
Re: Battle of Britain Hero ? It never is appreciated anyway......when i return a JU52 to pick up more passengers a collission with another Ju52 or runway TK of players standing on the runway is often my reward.....but saving lives does save tickets (=lives) for your team, and when you think of it, saving tickets on your side is just as productive as destroying tickets on the other side in winning the round......since that is calculated by remaining tickets. There are a lot of people who indeed disregard the lives of their teammates, but i saw on wolfserver many times there are people enough that repair, spot when you call, give artilery fire when you call, come to your aid with planes and tanks if you call, or ride as airgunners in your bomber and actually do stay put and do their job to the end, although they know they will probably die.... And i do that too. Maybe not give the highest score, but a load of more fun and satisfaction. |
Re: Battle of Britain yes it is good to see some, do a good job. I see my self a pretty good teammate. exsampel in bocage on the wolfserver people give a good aircover for the artillarry at the base, including me. it dosen't give a very good score but it is nice, to help the team sometimes. |

Re: Battle of Britain Take the BoB map, add some landing barges on the german side, some AT guns on the English coast, vehicle spawns, and a few more things..... Viola! Operation Sea Lion. |
Re: Battle of Britain BFE already has a FH Battle of Britiain, and an Operation Sealion map. :D |
Re: Battle of Britain Yup. We also have a reversed (REV) version of Battle of Britian where the sides are switched (ie. allied bombers against German positions). Sure, it is not "historically" correct or geographically correct, but we did it just for fun and to practice with the objective objects in FH. As for Operaion Sealion, it's an okay map that works; but not one we have been 100% happy with. I am looking for a replacement right now. |
Re: Battle of Britain I don't think DICE's BOB map would be that great. It's a little small, I think. A similar design concept would work, though, just with more space to play with. |
