| Ouch, our points are going to plummet this week. We'll keep up the fort until your return. |

Anyway nice to see you come back!I'll be back in full production this Tuesday. I accidently left the power blocks of 2 of my monitors at my mothers but she's shipping them back to me. I've been 2 quads down all week due to no monitors for them. We're gonna have to kick some booty and get back up to speed. We had a few teams we passed up earlier pass us back up. Nice to see a couple new folders... Milton2 came on board and is already at #8 producer. xfiles came in to test the waters maybe. Still on the board as of tonight. Trexer recently broke 10K.. he was racking in the points for awhile with a few CPU's it looks like. Flyboy1942 and jodonnel are real close to breaking 10K. Further up, Kaffenor is about to break 400K and is currently producing more than I am. Maximus is folding steady, baobab is back producing, and MrBlond is still in the race. Wlverine and Apo are in the blue still producing over 500 points per day. Toinen Aine and MaxaFH are still turning in top 10 production numbers too. Great job everyone. |

| That was an unplanned outage. I had just bought a Q6600 for a few days, OC-ed it to 3.1 GHz, but the temps were a bit high. So I thought I will remount my heatsink using a backplate instead of the plastic push-pins. I decided to get some additional washers to increase the pressure between the heatsink and the CPU for a better contact, plus some insulator washers (plastic or rubber) to place between the backplate and the motherboard to make sure I do not short anything. And here comes the part that I am ashamed to tell. I went to home depot and bought some gaskets that looked like rubber. The only non metal washers I could find there. After I assemble everything, computer doesn't power up any more. I thought I shorted the motherboard with the backplate. I turns out that it was the rubber-like washers which were conducting electricity. Nevertheless, the motherboard was dead. ![]() So I finally got the cheapest and still ok motherboard that I could find and I rebuilt my system without the (non-)rubber washers. Now it is working, but I think the voltage regulators on this MB are not as good as on my old one so I am staying at 3GHz for now. At least my core temperatures are about 14 C lower with the new mounting system. |

| Well guys, unfortunately my folding machine is shut down for an undefined amount of time. I no longer had access to my folding machines. This thing we call life can really be a roller coaster ride. My wife has promised to keep the PS3 folding, but we'll see. |
