You can follow your progress on your work unit, and your score with the Fahmon thingy

You won't show up on the roster until you complete a Work Unit. Some work units can take 3 or 4 days to complete.

If you have completed a work unit and you haven't shown up about 2 hours later, (stats update every 2 hours) then something may be wrong. Possible typo in the team number would be the first thing I'd check. I've done that before

Almost done my first WU. Think I'm gonna try for a bigger WU on the next one.
This is a really kewl idea. Gonna keep doing this...my machine is on 24/7 anyways. I might as well have it doing something useful.

I downloaded the text client (whats the difference anyways? does one work better or something?) an I'm running it now. I tried this a few weeks ago, but it didn't seem to do anything, it looked like it got frozen on something saying "Completed 0 out of (large number) steps."

Oh well, hopefully this will work this time.

EDIT: Actually, I downloaded the GUI one instead :-/. It seems like it actually does something. It says my current WU will end in February. WTF? Is it supposed to take that long?

Something is wrong if it's taking a month. I've never run the GUI version so I have no idea how it calculates the finish time. If it's calculating based on only the last frame (1% of your work unit) and you were doing something with your computer that required lots of CPU time, then I could see it might be giving a false reading.

Best let it generate a few frames and see how long each frame is taking. My slowest computer (old 2.4ghz P-4) doesn't take more than 45-50 minutes per frame when folding even the most complex work units. That's like 3-4 days to finish the Work Unit. I'm sure your computer is much faster, specially if you are playing FH2 on it.

If the frames are taking a long time, maybe try using the text client and monitor it with fahmon.
