I got a deletion notice on Mon, 8 Jun 2009 11:05 pm into my spam folder and didn't notice it in time. I even visited my page within the deletion queue and didn't notice it? I didn't even get 3 days to renew my files. Can't you set a longer (and not random) limit of a week or more? The files were uploaded early in the day on 4-18-09, around 51 days and a lot less than that since the last download. I signed up at Filefront because of not having this hassle and now it is worse than the other sites for deletions. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting files prepared and uploaded that had no reason to be deleted in the first place. I realize that trimming down the size of your database is necessary, but the way it is currently being done is horrible.

Yeah, no kidding. ![]() I have been a huge supporter of FileFront in the Oblivion mods community and use it extensively as a mirror site for some very popular mods. Some of these had more than 70,000 downloads and the number was climbing steadily. No shortage of downloads. I was very happy when the founders came back to save the site from extinction. Now today a fan tells me he can't download the files anymore, so I login to check. All of my files are purged. No warning notice! I checked my spam bucket and there was nothing received from Filefront. ![]() Unless someone here cares enough to explain this and offer solutions, I'll be looking elsewhere for file hosting in the future. If this is the way the site will be run, it would've just been better to let it die when ZD tried to shut it down. At least then I had some warning! I'm a very unhappy customer.

Yeah, I was rather shocked to learn yesterday that my only uploaded file to Filefront had been deleted without notice. The copy of the file that I had saved on disk got corrupted, so I do not even have a backup copy. In case anyone at Filefront can dig up the file in an archive or something, the link was: Video Game Downloads
