Also before even discussing artillery icons etc can we please please have any information of which type of artillery is being used in each map?

I've asked this about 3 times but was ignored in all of them

Commander voice & arty+Year of battle on some maps missing

Everytime I enter a public server, there is 5-9 existing squads. one or two of them has 4+ members. then the rest of the squads have just 1 or two members. people actually start squads to be squadleader, even though it does not come with any benefits (other than the NCO kit, which you still need to be a total of 3 members to get).
that is what makes me the most mad when playing as commander, not the not-following-orders part.
People start or join squads to prevent autoswitch to the other team. I usually start my own 1 man team when im flying. I hate switching sides since it takes away the immersion.

I agree with Knitschi.

The Idea of dropping weapon kits would be great in the game (espec. the Ammo kit which is used too seldom in my opinion because most tanks drive back to main instead of waiting for an Ammo guy)

But what is about something like give the Arty guys a spot every 5 Minutes or so? The field arty is nice but imagine that:

A spyplane flies over enemy tanks. The commander can see it on its map. 3 Mortar guys stand ready to let hell break loose. The commander right-clicks on the red marks on the map he see and BOOM.

Would be much fairer than these random field artillery attacks. Is in possible to make something like that and whats your opinion (if you know what i mean )

BF2142 has rewards systems for killing enemies in order zones and capping ordered flags - could this in some way be brought into FH2? A long shot I know, but they are essentially the same engine.

Really? Well if you notice when you kill someone sometimes it'll say [Field Artillery] or [Mortar Team]. Field Artillery is heavier with bigger explosions and more scattered. Mortar Team has smaller explosions but is more concentrated I think.

There was also a map with Smoke barrage I think, but I can't remember which.

Operation Hiyacinth has Illumination Flares.

It's all in the wiki (Commander assets - Forgotten Hope Wiki). But the devs have never mentioned how are they going to let us know the type that is being used in each map...

Being a commander while nobody listens to your is just plain boring,

There also should be more assets for the commander, becease you cant do much with only dropping supplies, how about dropping sandbags that you can 'push' around (short asset reload time) and 6 pounders/pak 40 or bren's/MG's (long asset reload time) ? That way squads can make their own defensive points around the map

Oh and your idea's sound well too OP, i'd love to see them next patch

artwie i like this idea of deployable small guns for defense points... but maybe that way flags could be some kind of "unattackable"?

but the sandbags sound really nice to me. its a pity you cant deploy the mgs just at higher positions like in day of defeat. there you can deploy mgs just at sandbag walls... but i think thats the only nice feature fh2 doesn't have compared with it.

Well can't they forbid dropping guns near flags? abit like bf2 did on the carrier of wake island?
