Re: What Normandy map would you like to appear most in FH2 ? You're disappointing me Meadow, I thought it was obvious my post was sarcastic around the Medal of Honor, SPR and Call of Duty clichés... (seriously, I wrote "Oh and could we have an objective map where a Rangers' squad have to pick up a guy from the 101st Airborne from the frontline?"... I was a bit rude against Roekeloos, but I didn't expect it could cause confusion to a FH vet) In other hand, it means that my english is improving everyday, so i feel honoured :) And at least, the "foreigners" will be in Switzerland and Austria this summer :p |
Re: What Normandy map would you like to appear most in FH2 ? Yeah, I kind of ignored the rangers bit - I got so worked up about the Brits and Canucks bit. No worries, we all have our off-days. And pah, football. Girls' game. |

Re: What Normandy map would you like to appear most in FH2 ? no offense, roekeloos, I was joking, maybe too toughly, but joking. I erased Windows XP by accident, and spent hours to download tons of drivers, so I was a bit angry ;) (I still have no sound, three days after GRRRR) |

Re: What Normandy map would you like to appear most in FH2 ? Battle for Brest The Battle for Brest was one of the fiercest battles fought during Operation Cobra, the Allied breakout of Normandy which began on 27 July 1944, during the Battle of Normandy during World War II. Part of the Allied plan for the invasion of mainland Europe called for the capture of port facilities, in order to ensure the timely delivery of the enormous amount of war material required to supply the invading Allied forces (it was estimated that the 37 Allied divisions to be on the continent by September 1944 would need 26,000 tons of supplies each day). The main port the Allied forces hoped to seize and put into their service was Brest, in northwestern France. Brest was surrounded and eventually stormed by the U.S. VIII Corps. The fight proved extremely difficult, as the German garrison was well entrenched and partially made up of elite Fallschirmjäger (paratroopers) forces. The German paratroopers lived up to their reputation, as the Allies had experienced previously in battles such as Monte Cassino. Whilst some less capable units surrendered quite easily, the Fallschirmjäger defended their ground under considerable odds, heavy shelling, air strikes and American assaults. The attackers had heavy losses for every small advance they made into the city. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...leforbrest.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ba/Brest44.jpg |

Re: What Normandy map would you like to appear most in FH2 ? Airborne map. One where everyone has to board the skytrains. I love that. And no fighter planes, 'cause then 87% wil stay and wait for them to respawn. Lots of nice hedgerows and German tanks camoflaged with it. Top nice. |
