Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Not in this release though.

1. Welcome to the forums.
2. Use the search function, these maps have been discuss many times.
3. Do not tell the devs what 'should' or should not happen.
4. The Italian campaign may come after the North African release, or it might not. When it does arrive, you can be sure that it won't be without arguably the two most famous battles.

Bir Hakeim
May 26 - June 11 1942
"Free French" against Afrika Korps
I think it would be an awesome map... just imagine: a big fort and lots of infantry battle. Of course not in this release, but when the french are in, you just have to do it. To cool to leave it out

no, no, thank YOU for this incredible post we needed so much

@Ts4EVER : actually there was no "big fort" at Bir Hakeim, the only relief was two old destroyed cisterns covered with sand...

And about the Free French, a Koufra map would also rock : French vs Italians

Malta
June 1940 - December 1943
Island of Malta was an important allied fortress in the Mediterranean, which was significantly disturbing axis shipping to NA by RAF and the Royal Navy. Malta was one of the most intensively-bombed areas during war: a total of 3,000 raids occurred during the two years of the siege.

Oh snap a 1 poster got a sticky :P

I think we need a convoy map, where the German ships are desperately attempting to ferry supplies to Rommel's forces, when they are attacked by subs and the RAF.
